In short

The module is the smallest replaceable image unit of a LED video wall, and the cabinet is the frame in which several modules, the power supply and the receiving card come together as one mountable piece. This is where pixel pitch, brightness, ingress protection, weight, the direction of service access and the availability of spare parts five years from now are all decided. The category brings together the major manufacturers worldwide, so that you have something to measure an incoming quotation against.

1. Lamp bead 3 LEDs in 1 package: RGB = 1 pixel 2. Module the smallest replaceable part driver ICs on the back 3. Cabinet — the mounting unit 6 modules (example) receiving card + HUB card power supply 230 V → 5 V frame, cooling, quick lock or bracket typically 500 × 500 or 500 × 1000 mm 4. The wall grid of cabinets = the finished display Quality is not decided by the size of the wall but by the inside of steps 2 and 3: which lamp bead, which driver IC and which power supply. Datasheets rarely cover these — ask for them separately in the quote.

A finer pixel pitch is only worth something while the viewer is close enough to it. On a wall seen from 15 metres, P2.5 looks the same as P6 — the difference survives only in the price and the power bill.
