INFiLED Xmk2 Series LED module and cabinet

The INFiLED Xmk2 Series is a specifically curvable, ultra-slim LED panel family, in 1.9 mm, 1.95 mm, 2.6 mm, 2.97 mm and 3.91 mm pixel pitch versions. The cabinet measures 500×500 mm, is only 76 mm deep, and weighs 7.5-8.3 kg. The panel's LED type is 3-in-1 SMD or IMD M2 depending on the model.

The series' main distinguishing feature is its curvability: the cabinets can be curved concavely or convexly by ±30 degrees, in 10-degree steps, at 7 fixed angle positions, which allows curved walls, cylinders, arches and other creative, non-flat installations to be built. The horizontal and vertical viewing angles are both 160 degrees.

Brightness reaches up to 1200 nit depending on the model, and the refresh rate can be chosen between 3840 and 7680 Hz, making it suitable for broadcast and XR applications too.

Where the Xmk2 Series sits in an LED wall system

The Xmk2's 500×500 mm, 76 mm deep cabinet connects with quick locks, and the curving happens in the joint between cabinets rather than inside the module — so the support structure has to be sized for the curve, and the space required behind the wall grows with the angle. Port count: at P1.9, 256×256 = 65 536 pixels, so 10 cabinets (2.5 m²) run on one gigabit port; at P3.91 it is 128×128 = 16 384, giving 39 cabinets and 10 m². The 7 680 Hz version can also be used in front of a camera, but that calls for 10–12-bit processing on the sending side — MX40 Pro, Colorlight Z8 or Brompton Tessera.

WHEN IT IS THE RIGHT CHOICE

Recommended for curved, arched or non-flat surface installations (a stage, an exhibition stand, a cylindrical or vaulted surface), where ordinary flat cabinets cannot be used.

WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR

The curving range is fixed to 7 positions, so the radius of the planned curve has to be reconciled with these steps at the design stage.

The Xmk2 Series in practice

The seven fixed curving angles (10° steps, ±30°) mean that the curve is not continuous: a cylinder of a given radius can only be produced accurately if the radius and the cabinet count work out on those steps — this has to be calculated at the design stage, not on site. When building, the angle positions have to be set first and only then the row threaded together, because adjusting them afterwards under load is difficult. Plane tolerance is 0.5 mm on the straight sections. Module replacement is from the front, magnetically; the calibration data stays on the receiving card. Because of IP30, indoor only. Touring kit: 5% spare modules, and on curved rows it is worth marking the cabinets' angle positions on the dolly so that rebuilding goes faster.

Alternatives to the Xmk2 Series

If a flat wall is needed and it is not worth paying for curvability, the INFiLED DBmk2 delivers the same pixel pitch range more cheaply. For a gentler -5°/+10° curve, the Unilumin Upad IV or the Absen PL V2 is also enough. For a curved outdoor surface, the ER's outdoor cabinet version or the Gloshine CB MAX is the option. If the curved wall runs in front of a camera in a film production, the ROE Visual Black Pearl BP2V2's per-panel calibration storage is an advantage.
