A flexible LED video wall creates an entirely different visual experience from a straight configuration: a 270° convex wall enveloping an atrium, or a concave panel in front of a straight wall, opens up a completely different dimension of presence. The P2.5 modules can be curved with special flexible connectors, down to a minimum curve radius of R1000 mm. This product requires bespoke design, for which Korád-Trade provides a site survey and 3D modelling support. The 2.5 mm pixel pitch offers an enjoyable, perfectly smooth image from a viewing distance of 2.5–3 metres, which is the typical proximity in atrium and showroom settings.

Concave and convex curved builds
What is the difference between a concave and a convex LED video wall?
A concave wall (curved inwards) leans towards the viewer, drawing them into the picture more effectively; it is ideal in a showroom or an exhibition pavilion, where several people view it at once from 5–15 metres. A convex wall (curved outwards) is visible through 360° and works as an enveloping installation; it is at its most striking in a shopping centre atrium or a nightclub, because it gives an even image from every direction. On both builds the 2.5 mm pixel pitch ensures the image is not grainy even from 2.5–3 metres, which matters especially on a curved surface, because viewers often stand closer than they would to a straight wall.

How does a curved LED video wall project run?
The process begins with a free site survey, where we record the curve radius wanted, the surface required and the fixing options. In the 3D modelling phase we produce a visualisation of the final appearance, so that you can see exactly what to expect before manufacture begins. After manufacture and delivery, the Korád-Trade team carries out the complete installation on site, then trains the operating staff in content management.
Why the quality of the P2.5 modules is not a risk
In a curved configuration, the mating of the modules is more critical than ever, because a single difference in colour or brightness is far more conspicuous on a curved surface than on a flat wall. That is why, for curved projects, we fit only pre-colour-calibrated modules from the same production batch, so that every point of the wall stays uniform. The nominal 100,000-hour lifespan of the modules means more than 10 years of reliable operation under normal use, and the flexible connectors are designed not to work loose despite regular thermal expansion. We supply parts from stock, and a damaged module can be replaced from the front in minutes without having to dismantle the whole curved section.
Operation and content management
The Nova Star controller has the same simple user interface as on the straight walls: you can manage content from cloud-based software or a local machine alike, and schedule video, images and live content. If you can write an email, you will be able to handle this system confidently too after a few hours of training, which we provide as part of the handover. The 900 nit brightness gives ample contrast in an indoor setting, and consumption is typically considerably lower than you would first suppose from the size of the wall, because average content rarely calls on maximum brightness.

What is the minimum achievable curve radius on the flexible LED video wall?
With the P2.5 modules a minimum curve radius of R1000 mm (1 metre) can be achieved reliably. For a tighter radius, special dedicated flexible modules can be ordered that go down to R500 mm, and these require a bespoke quotation.
Is the curved build much more expensive than a straight LED wall?

Because of the modular, front-serviceable build, the faulty unit can be replaced in minutes without having to break into the surrounding, correctly working panels. We hold parts in stock.
Who designs the support structure for the curve?
After the site survey we carry out the complete design, including the structural engineering of the curved support frame, and manufacture and installation are also our team's responsibility.
