In a shopping centre lobby or a bank branch the display has a double job: to draw the eye from a distance and to inform close up. The P2.5 pixel pitch is made for exactly that – by the 1 mm ≈ 2.5–3 m rule of thumb the image is continuous from 2.5 metres, distinctly comfortable from 6 metres and still high in contrast at 20 metres. The 2:1 landscape format suits a position above a portal, behind a reception desk or at the end of a corridor axis. In a museum it typically runs an events calendar and exhibition content, in a bank branch queue numbers and product information, at an airport passenger information – all scheduled and rotating automatically. Technical detail for specialists

The resolution is 1280×640 px, which means a pixel density of 400 px/m – and because of the 2:1 ratio it divides well into two 640×640 zones or into a native landscape composition. The 900 nit brightness is the upper indoor class: it gives a readable image in a glass-roofed atrium or a position near a shop window, and can be turned back automatically at night. The signal inputs are HDMI, DVI and DisplayPort, so a media player, a digital signage player and a PC can all be connected directly; the daily content rotation can be scheduled with the controller's CMS software. The front maintenance design means the modules are opened from the front with magnetic or screw fixings – in a recessed build this is the only properly serviceable solution.

On a commercial display running 12–16 hours a day, a weak component shows up quickly: discoloured panels, blocks of dead pixels, and then a shutdown with no service. Content management runs remotely through the CMS: every campaign can be refreshed from the operator's office, and the timer matches operation and brightness to opening and closing. No IT specialist is needed – if you can write an email, you can handle this – and we train the operating team at handover, included in the price. Building it in: recessed, suspended or into a portal

The front maintenance design gives great freedom in the build: the wall can be recessed into a steel niche frame, suspended from a ceiling mount, or integrated into a portal structure – even with no rear service walkway. In a recessed build the niche frame has to be fitted into the architectural drawings, and we provide design support for that. As an indoor display it needs no official consent, and installation including the support structure and commissioning typically takes 1–2 days.
