Chipshow C-Rock Indoor LED module and cabinet
The indoor build of the Chipshow C-Rock is a fanless, quiet-running rental LED cabinet series developed for indoor events (conferences, studios, church spaces) where both the fineness of the picture seen close up and quiet operation matter. The series is built from 500×500 mm and 500×1000 mm cabinets, which can be freely mixed within one platform to achieve the desired picture surface height.
Available pixel pitches: 1.95 / 2.6 / 2.97 / 3.91 mm, with 600-800 nit brightness (depending on the build) and a 3840-7680 Hz (optionally 2880 Hz) refresh rate. The cabinets weigh 8 kg (500×500 mm) or 14 kg (500×1000 mm), with an operating temperature range between -20°C and +50°C.
The manufacturer highlights quick-lock fixing and service routes reachable from front and rear alike, and the cabinets can be curved between -10° and +15°, which allows straightforward installation at sites with limited rear access too.
Where the C-Rock Indoor sits in an LED wall system
The C-Rock's quick-lock cabinet can be mixed within one wall in 500×500 and 500×1 000 mm versions, containing modules, power supply and receiving card; it is fanless, so the heat is conducted away by the frame — a free air gap is needed behind the cabinet, and it must not be built enclosed behind a solid set wall. Port count: at P1.95 the 500×500 cabinet is 256×256 = 65 536 pixels, so 10 cabinets (2.5 m²) run on one gigabit port, and five of the 500×1 000; at P3.91 it is 39 and 19 cabinets. A 40 m² P2.6 backdrop is therefore covered with nine ports.
WHEN IT IS THE RIGHT CHOICE
Recommended for quiet indoor events (a conference room, a studio, a church space), where fan noise would be disturbing and quick, flexible cabinet assembly matters.
WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR
The official product sheet gives no power supply consumption, IP rating or LED type data; these require individual consultation with the manufacturer or the reseller.
The C-Rock Indoor in practice
The fanless build gives quiet, but heat dissipation is down to the installer: in an enclosed set box or pushed tight against a wall the cabinet's internal temperature rises, which takes away the power supply's lifespan. The -20 to +50 °C operating range applies to the cabinet, not to the air enclosed around it. When building, the mixing of the two cabinet sizes means the port allocation has to be drawn out in advance, otherwise the order is hard to unravel on NovaLCT's `Screen Configuration` tab. Plane tolerance is 0.3–0.5 mm; the -10°/+15° curving is a fixed position. Module replacement works from the front and from the rear alike. The manufacturer gives no IP rating and no LED type — plan for indoor, supervised use. Touring kit: 5% spare modules.
Alternatives to the C-Rock Indoor
At a similar price level and cabinet size, the Esdlumen Pilot Pro offers five pixel pitch versions and adjustable colour temperature. If deep blacks and use in front of a camera are the aim, the INFiLED DBmk2 or the ROE Visual Black Pearl BP2V2 is the step up. For an outdoor event, the Gloshine CB MAX or the outdoor cabinet version of the INFiLED ER is the option — the indoor build of the C-Rock cannot be used in the rain. For a curved set, the INFiLED Xmk2.
