Desay Smart LED Poster A Series (A1.9/A2.5) LED module and cabinet
Desay's High-end Smart LED Poster A series is a standalone, stand- or wall-mounted, plug-and-play LED display poster developed for retail spaces (shops, shopping centres) and exhibition/advertising surfaces. The display can be loaded with content from a USB stick, a phone or a tablet, and can also be controlled in a cluster (several units linked together).
The series is available in four main versions: the 'i' variants (A1.9i, A2.5i) are indoor builds with 800-1000 nit brightness, while the plain A1.9/A2.5 versions are also suitable for outdoor use, with 3000-3500 nit brightness. The pixel pitch is 1.995 mm on the 1.9 version and 2.571 mm on the 2.5; the cabinet size is correspondingly 585.4×1950.1×40 mm and 657×2250×85 mm. The indoor build is rated IP41/30 (front/rear), the outdoor one IP65/54.
During maintenance the acrylic front panel and the LED module can be removed from the front, while the power supply and the receiving card are reached after removing the rear cover — so module replacement is at the front and power supply/controller replacement at the rear. The refresh rate is 3840 Hz.
Where the Smart LED Poster A Series sits in an LED wall system
The poster is a standalone unit: modules, power supply, receiving card and a built-in player sit in the cabinet, so there is no separate sending controller and no Cat6 signal path — the content arrives from a USB stick, a phone or a tablet. Several units can be linked into a cluster, in which case one of them feeds the signal to the others. For scale: the A1.9's display surface is 288×972 = 279 936 pixels, so a single gigabit port would carry two posters — if it were connected to a conventional controller at all. Mounting is on a mobile stand or a wall bracket; the indoor unit weighs 35 kg and the outdoor one 67 kg, the latter already with a fixed base.
WHEN IT IS THE RIGHT CHOICE
Recommended for shops, shopping centres and exhibition stands, where a quick, plug-and-play advertising display with simple content management is needed.
WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR
There is a significant brightness difference between the indoor version and the brighter, outdoor-capable version, so the right version has to be chosen on the basis of the planned location.
The Smart LED Poster A Series in practice
Installation here is not wall building but device placement: the poster can be powered up straight out of the box, and uploading content is a matter of minutes — the real work is organising content management if dozens of units go out to shops. During maintenance the service route is split: the acrylic front panel and the LED module can be removed from the front, but the power supply and the receiving card can only be reached after removing the rear cover, so it has to be possible to get behind the poster or turn it round. The outdoor version's IP65/54 seals have to be refitted after servicing. Spares: not worth it per unit; for a fleet, 2–3% modules and one complete replacement unit is realistic.
Alternatives to the Smart LED Poster A Series
If a continuous picture surface is wanted from several posters, this is not the product: a conventional cabinet and sending controller belongs there — indoors the Unilumin UpanelS, outdoors the Absen AW Series or the Unilumin Usurface III Pro. If content management is the point and the display could also be an LCD, the asynchronous player route (a NovaStar Taurus TB40 + ViPlex, or Yodeck/OptiSigns in the cloud) is cheaper.
