Who it is for, and from what distance will it be viewed?
Pixel pitch and viewing distance are linked: by the international rule of thumb, 1 mm of pixel pitch corresponds to roughly 2.5–3 metres of comfortable viewing distance. With P1.25 the pixels already merge from 1.2–1.5 metres, and from 3 metres the image is effectively print quality. That means this category is worth it where people genuinely get close to the surface: in a jewellery showroom the customer leans in half a metre from the case, in a studio the camera shoots the backdrop from a close position, in an executive meeting room the first chair at the table is a metre and a half from the wall. If your viewers will be further than 3–4 metres away, P1.5 or P2 is probably enough – and we will tell you so honestly at the free site survey.
Technical depth for specialists
The refresh rate above 7680 Hz is the key to broadcast use: with a studio camera, no banding or moiré appears even in slow motion. For xR (in-camera VFX) production the controller can be genlocked to the camera system. Close to 100% sRGB colour coverage together with Nova Star's pixel-level calibration ensures that every point of the wall lights with the same brightness and colour – the factory calibration data is stored per module, so the surface stays even after a replacement. The 1600 nit brightness can be regulated automatically and manually, giving an optimal image in dimmed studio light and in a glass-walled, sunlit showroom alike. The signal input comes from an HDMI/DVI source, and in a professional environment can also be handled with an SDI converter.
Why this will not turn into a cheap disappointment
Most bad experiences in the LED video wall market come from unbranded modules assembled from mixed production runs: the surface goes patchy because the chips do not come from the same batch, and when it fails there is nobody to ask for parts. The average consumption of a 0.9 m² P1.25 surface with real content typically stays under 150 W – about the same as two laptops, so barely a noticeable item on the electricity bill. No IT specialist is needed: if you can write an email, you can handle this. Personal training is part of the handover, and afterwards you get phone and online support – not a foreign ticketing system.

Is it suitable for an xR (virtual production) studio?
Yes. Because of the refresh rate above 7680 Hz and the low tendency to moiré it is expressly suitable for in-camera VFX work. For the best result we recommend genlocking the camera system and the wall's controller, and we help with that too.
Who installs it, and how long does it take?
Our own installation team fits it: a surface this size, including the support structure, cabling and commissioning, typically takes 1 day. Training in how to use it is part of the handover.
Can it be extended to a larger surface later?
