Sysolution Y50 asynchronous LED controller

The Y50 is an Android 9.0 control card built around a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor, with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage (4 GB of it freely usable), and a load capacity of up to 1,300,000 pixels (max. 1920×1920). Its two gigabit Ethernet ports provide redundancy, and Wi-Fi, USB and an optional 4G module in region-specific versions (NA/EU/LA/G/J) are also available for it, with GPS/Beidou/GLONASS positioning.

The card can be supervised remotely and in groups through the manufacturer's AIPS 4.0 cloud platform, and configured with the LedOK Express (PC) and LedOK Kit (mobile) software. Carrying FCC, CE and RoHS certification, the Y50 typically appears in larger, geographically distributed, networked advertising display fleets.

Where the Y50 sits in an LED wall system

A control card without a housing, which the system integrator builds into their own enclosure or behind the cabinet, powered from DC 5/12 V. Its two gigabit Ethernet ports are the output towards the receiving cards over Cat5e/Cat6, and HUB75E on to the modules; the 1,300,000 pixel load capacity is two ports' worth. About 4 GB of the 8 GB of storage is usable for content. Uploads go over LedOK Express (PC), LedOK Kit (mobile), USB, Wi-Fi or a region-specific optional 4G module, and fleet management runs on the AIPS 4.0 cloud platform, where several hundred displays can be updated and supervised in groups at once.

WHEN IT IS THE RIGHT CHOICE

On larger, geographically distributed advertising display fleets, where region-specific 4G compatibility and cloud-based group management matter.

WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR

The 4G module can be ordered in region-specific versions (NA/EU/LA/G/J); the version matching the local mobile network bands has to be chosen.

The Y50 in practice

The region-specific variant of the 4G module (NA/EU/LA/G/J) is no small detail here: with the wrong version the card will find no network in Hungary, and the fault only emerges on site with the display already mounted — ask for the EU version when ordering. The commissioning order: AP-mode Wi-Fi, password change, network and time zone, then AIPS registration (assigning the device ID and group), and finally the brightness schedule and the screen parameters. On a large fleet it is worth pre-configuring the cards in the warehouse from a uniform template, because individual on-site setup is what eats the project time. As a card without a housing, dust, moisture, vibration and cooling are the integrator's responsibility, and bringing the antenna out of a metal box is a precondition for wireless access. If the internet drops, the downloaded programme carries on and only cloud management stops.

Alternatives to the Y50

In a ready-made boxed format, the M60B gives the same capacity with less design risk. For a smaller wall the M50B-D (650,000 px) will do. For vehicles, lamp posts and extreme temperatures the Y59 is the more targeted model, with serial ports. In other ecosystems the NovaStar Taurus T60 (also a card without a housing) and the Huidu HD-C16L are its counterparts — the latter driving the modules with 12 HUB75E ports even without a separate receiving card. The deciding factors: whether a custom installation is needed, how large the fleet is, and which cloud platform the operator wants to manage the displays on.
