The version of NovaLCT optimised for asynchronous NovaStar systems using Taurus-series multimedia players.

NovaLCT (multimedia player edition) LED wall software
This version of NovaLCT was made for NovaStar's asynchronous, Taurus-series multimedia players. Taurus devices fill the role of sending card and media player at the same time: their Android-based internal player runs the content from the built-in storage, and the same device drives the receiving cards in the cabinets. No continuous external video signal is needed, so the display keeps running after the source machine is disconnected.
The configuration logic is the same as in the synchronous version — load the cabinet file, tiling layout, brightness, calibration, monitoring — the difference lies in the menu structure and in the fact that the terminal's network settings (wired connection, Wi-Fi, access point mode, mobile network), the time zone and the playback-related system parameters are also reachable from here.
In practice the work is divided: this program sets up the hardware, that is, the panel side, while the content is uploaded by ViPlex Express or ViPlex Handy, and on a larger, distributed network by the VNNOX cloud platform. The multimedia version of NovaLCT is therefore not a content manager but a commissioning and maintenance tool.
Where the NovaLCT sits in an LED wall system
The signal path here is shorter than in a synchronous system: there is no separate playback machine and separate sending card, as the Taurus terminal is both. The installer's laptop connects to it over Ethernet, USB or the terminal's own Wi-Fi access point, and from there the Cat6 data cable runs to the receiving cards in the cabinets, and from those the HUB card and the ribbon cables to the modules. Along this path NovaLCT writes the cabinet file (.rcfgx) and the calibration coefficients to the receiving cards. Content reaches the terminal's internal storage on a separate channel, over ViPlex or VNNOX, not through this program.
WHEN IT IS THE RIGHT CHOICE
On older or classic NovaStar asynchronous (Taurus-based) installations where deeper hardware configuration is needed, not merely content upload.
WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR
Do not confuse it with synchronous NovaLCT — it covers different menu items and different hardware support, and the two versions do not substitute for each other on the same project.
The NovaLCT in practice
The terminal has to be found first: according to the manual, the factory Wi-Fi access point of Taurus devices appears as AP plus the last eight digits of the serial number, with 12345678 as the default password, while the terminal's login password is 123456 out of the box. Both have to be changed before going live, because on an open access point anyone can rewrite the display. The commissioning order is: connect the terminal, write and commit the cabinet file to the receiving cards, screen layout, brightness and time zone, and only then the content with ViPlex. A typical mistake is the technician starting synchronous NovaLCT, which does not see the Taurus terminal. The other is that a configuration operation carried out during playback interrupts the picture, so it is best not to touch it during opening hours. There is no Hungarian interface.
Alternatives to the NovaLCT
If only content has to be changed or scheduled, this is not the program for it: ViPlex Express on the desktop or the ViPlex Handy mobile app is, and for several sites the VNNOX cloud. If the system is not Taurus-based but a classic sending card setup, synchronous NovaLCT is the right choice. The same role is filled in other ecosystems by Huidu HDSet and HDPlayer, or Colorlight PlayerMaster — the decision is made by the brand of the built-in controller, not afterwards.

On its own the NovaLCT (multimedia player edition) is a component. With us it works inside these displays — design, manufacturing and installation included.
