NovaStar Taurus T60 asynchronous LED controller
The T60 is the flagship of the Taurus series' T line, functionally similar to the TB60 (max. 2,300,000 pixel load capacity, synchronous and asynchronous modes) but in a card format without a housing, made for building into your own enclosure or into existing electronics. It also supports multi-screen synchronous playback, so it can be used on larger installations with divided surfaces.
The T series (T30/T50/T60) is typically popular with manufacturers and system integrators who want to build NovaStar control electronics into their own box and their own industrial design, as against the ready-made standalone box format of the TB series. Here too the 4G/5G module has to be purchased separately.
Where the Taurus T60 sits in an LED wall system
The same signal path as the TB60, only without a housing: the picture starting from the 32 GB of internal storage or from the HDMI input reaches the receiving cards over five gigabit LED ports on Cat5e/Cat6, and then the modules over HUB75E. One port carries roughly 650,000 pixels at 60 Hz, so 2,300,000 pixels amounts to about four ports in use. The system integrator builds the card into their own enclosure, column box or behind the cabinet, powered from DC 5–12 V. The software environment is unchanged: ViPlex Express (PC), ViPlex Handy (mobile), the VNNOX cloud, and NovaLCT for the wall's physical layout.

Where the controller has to be integrated into your own enclosure or a custom electronic design rather than being a ready-made boxed solution.
WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR
It is a card without a housing, so protection (dust, moisture, mechanical damage) is the system integrator's responsibility; the 4G/5G module is not standard equipment here either.
The Taurus T60 in practice
The commissioning logic matches that of the boxed siblings — AP-mode Wi-Fi, password change, time zone and NTP, brightness schedule — with the difference lying in the mechanics. As a card without a housing, protection against dust, condensation and vibration, plus cooling and earthing, are the integrator's responsibility; in an outdoor column box the most common mistake is a fully sealed installation with no ventilation, and condensation. Because of the DC 5–12 V supply, the cross-section of the power lead and the voltage drop also have to be designed for, since at a low input the device restarts at random. Placing the Wi-Fi antenna inside a metal box is a separate question: without an antenna feed brought outside, wireless access will be unusable. The 4G/5G module is not standard equipment here either. If the internet drops, the downloaded content carries on and only updates and remote supervision stop.
Alternatives to the Taurus T60
If no custom installation is needed, the TB60 gives the same thing in a ready-made, protected box — with less design risk. For a smaller pixel count the lower members of the T line (T30/T50) or the TB40 will do. In a card format the Sysolution Y50 and the Huidu HD-C16L are the direct competitors, the latter driving the modules with 12 HUB75E ports even without a separate receiving card. If the job involves a live video signal, a camera feed or event source switching, however, the right arrangement is a synchronous sender (VX400/VX600) with a permanent source rather than an asynchronous card.
