Kystar KS600 LED wall controller
The KS600 is Kystar's full-colour LED video processor, converting any input format into an output format suited to the LED wall (the manufacturer calls this AIAO, any format input, any format output). It handles six HD video inputs — 2× CVBS (BNC), 1× HDMI, 1× VGA and 1× DVI-D — and works with two DVI-D outputs; the maximum input resolution is 1920×1080, and the custom output resolution extends to 1920×1200.
In image processing the picture can be enlarged and reduced pixel by pixel, with a smallest step of 1 pixel. There is fade in/out, brightness and contrast control, motion compensation against a smearing picture, and noise reduction to clean up analogue sources.
The device is 1.5U high and can be operated on its own from the front-panel rotary knob and numeric keys, but it can also be controlled from PC software. Five settings can be saved and recalled, and there is a key lock against accidental changes after commissioning.
Where the KS600 sits in an LED wall system
The manufacturer's wiring diagram is unambiguous: source → video processor → sending card → LED wall. The KS600 is therefore not a sending controller but goes ahead of one: its two DVI-D outputs go to sending cards (Linsn TS802D, Colorlight S2, NovaStar MCTRL300), and it has no connection at all with the receiving cards. That matters, because the wall's pixel allocation, brightness and calibration are still handled by the sending controller's software — LEDStudio, LEDVISION or NovaLCT — and not by the processor.

On AV installations where control of the LED wall has to be integrated into a central AV control system (Crestron or AMX, for instance) over serial commands.
WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR
The documentation comes from an official reseller source (ledscreenparts.com); before a larger, critical installation it is worth having the exact version number confirmed by Kystar's official distributor.
The KS600 in practice
Commissioning starts from the wizard menu: the output resolution has to be set to the wall's actual pixel dimensions first, and only then do cropping and sizing make sense. The most common mistake is leaving the processor's output at a standard resolution (1920×1080, for instance) while the wall is a different shape, so the sending card receives bands filled with black — which also eats into the sender's capacity. After setup it is worth switching on the key lock, because an accidental turn of the front-panel knob changes the picture immediately. The RS232 port means the unit can also be wired into a Crestron or AMX system, but the serial command set has to be copied out of the manual.
Alternatives to the KS600
If more outputs or a higher resolution are needed, the Magnimage LED-550D or the VDWall LVP615 gives more at the same price level. If the system is new anyway, it is better to buy an all-in-one controller (a VX400), because the separate processor and sending card pair can be replaced by a single device with a single piece of software.
