A cloud-based, hardware-independent digital signage platform with broad operating system support (Android, Windows, Tizen, webOS, Fire TV).

NoviSign content management software
NoviSign offers a drag-and-drop template editor (50+ built-in widgets: slideshow, video, live news feed, weather, scrolling text, calendar, interactive kiosk functions) and multi-screen remote management from a browser. A particular strength is hardware independence: practically any brand or size of television can be used, through an Android, Windows, Chrome OS, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS or Amazon Fire TV Stick device, without needing any "smart" TV function.
This is especially practical if the project already has a chosen or existing display hardware and the aim is to find flexible content management software to build on top of it, rather than a closed hardware-software package.
Where the NoviSign sits in an LED wall system
NoviSign places no hardware requirement of its own on the playback device: an Android box, a Windows machine, Chrome OS, a Samsung Tizen or LG webOS screen, or even an Amazon Fire TV Stick can be the player, and the HDMI goes from there to the LED processor. Content downloads from the cloud, and editing is done in a browser, by drag and drop, with more than fifty built-in widgets: slideshow, video, news feed, weather, scrolling text, calendar, interactive kiosk elements. The wall's pixel grid is handled by the LED processor here too; from NoviSign's side the wall looks like a single screen.
WHEN IT IS THE RIGHT CHOICE
On projects where the display hardware is already given or mixed (from different manufacturers, on different operating systems) and a unified cloud-based content management software is sought to build on top of it.
WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR
The 30-day free trial works with heavily limited storage (80 MB) and file size (16 MB) — enough for genuine testing, but live use with larger video content already requires moving to a paid plan.
The NoviSign in practice
Because of the widget-based editor the rollout is quick: pick a template, connect a data source, schedule — it can be used without any knowledge of video editing. The trial version's limits, however, make genuine testing harder: with 30 days, 80 MB of storage and a 16 MB file size limit, a video at a wall's native resolution often cannot even be uploaded, so the trial is best run with images and widgets. When designing for an LED wall, the font size of the scrolling text and the clocks has to be checked separately: what is readable on an LCD becomes blurred on a sign with a coarse pixel pitch. The interface is in English, German and Hebrew; there is no Hungarian.
Alternatives to the NoviSign
If the playback hardware is also expected from the supplier, Yodeck (Raspberry Pi) or ScreenCloud (PIXI) provides it as a package. For self-hosted operation, Xibo is the option. For a broader integration range and compliance certifications, OptiSigns is the next step. If the display has to run unattended for years in an industrial environment, BrightSign's hardware is the safer choice — in exchange for losing the hardware independence.
NoviSign manual and datasheet
The documents live on the manufacturer's own site and open in a new window — so you always get the latest version. We do not copy or translate their contents.
NoviSign on video
The player is only embedded on click — until then not a single request goes to YouTube.
