In short

A cloud-based digital signage platform whose emphasis is primarily on corporate internal communication, not only on advertising content.

ScreenCloud · cloud-based digital signage CMS

ScreenCloud content management software

Through its content management system called ScreenCloud Studio, content can be assembled and scheduled with 80+ pre-built application integrations (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Canva, YouTube, emergency alert systems and so on), with a strong emphasis on corporate internal communication (offices, factories, reaching frontline workers) rather than only classic commercial advertising. Its enterprise-grade security functions (SSO, role-based access, SOC 2 certification, audit logging) make it deployable in larger organisations too.

It offers its own hardware device (PIXI, Android-based, around USD 95 per device) and its own operating system (ScreenCloud OS), and is also compatible with third-party devices — the project is not forced onto a single piece of hardware.

Where the ScreenCloud sits in an LED wall system

ScreenCloud Studio runs in the cloud, and the player is its own Android-based PIXI device, hardware running ScreenCloud OS, or a third-party player. Towards the display, HDMI goes to the LED processor here too, and the wall's pixel grid is handled by the processor. The system's strength is on the input side: with more than eighty built-in integrations — Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Canva, emergency alert systems — the content is largely generated from the company's existing data rather than from hand-made videos, so maintaining the wall does not require continuous graphic design work.

WHEN IT IS THE RIGHT CHOICE

On corporate internal communication LED/display projects (office, factory, shop), where the emphasis is not only on advertising content but also on staff information and emergency alert integration.

WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR

Exact pricing only emerges in detail after a pricing/demo request — before a larger organisational rollout it is worth asking for a demo and clarifying the licensing model.

The ScreenCloud in practice

A typical rollout starts not with content production but with permissions: connecting SSO, roles, allocating channels per site, and then pairing the screens. In a larger organisation this is the part that takes the time, not assembling the playlists. In a factory or a production hall, emergency alert integration is one of the main arguments for the system: on an alarm, every screen switches over immediately. Pricing is an annual fee per display, and the exact arrangement emerges after a demo — before a larger rollout it is worth putting the licence model in writing, because the cost grows linearly with the number of displays. There is no Hungarian interface or support.

Alternatives to the ScreenCloud

If the aim is classic advertising content rather than internal communication, Yodeck or OptiSigns gives the same for less. For a self-hosted, provider-independent solution, Xibo is the option. For an existing, mixed fleet of TVs, NoviSign's hardware independence is more practical. In an industrial, continuously running environment, BrightSign's hardware needs less maintenance. For live, mixed content on an LED wall, however, none of them: that is the territory of Resolume and the media servers.

The player is only embedded on click — until then not a single request goes to YouTube.
