In short

The 256×144 cm, 16:9 surface of the P2 indoor LED video wall is the most sought-after mid-range option: the image is pixel-free from 2 metres, and the comfortable viewing distance is 3–15 metres. Brightness is 1000 nits, and you can drive it from any signal source over HDMI or DVI, while the Nova Star controller lets you run content from an SD card with no computer at all. It is equally at home in an office lobby, a shop window space, a restaurant or a sports bar. The 320×160 mm modules can be replaced from the front in minutes, and the LED chips have a lifespan of 100,000 hours – more than 20 years even at 12 hours of daily operation.

Indoor LED video wall P2 – 256×144 cm

The P2 indoor LED video wall is the best-judged balance of price, image quality and size for medium-sized indoor spaces. A 2 mm pixel pitch is dense enough for text, graphics and video to appear sharply, while the 256×144 cm surface already draws the eye from a distance. On an office lobby wall you can show a company presentation, in a shop promotional content, and in a restaurant or sports bar an atmosphere video or a live broadcast. The content can be changed in minutes with no print costs – which is why a digital display works out cheaper than a printed banner in the long run. We recommend the exact configuration after a free site survey.

Where does the P2 size belong?

At a 2 mm pixel pitch the pixels merge from roughly 2 metres, and by the rule of thumb (1 mm ≈ 2.5–3 m) the comfortable viewing distance starts at 5 metres – so this wall is ideal where viewers move in the 3–15 metre band. That is exactly what an office building lobby, a shop floor, a restaurant or a sports bar is like: people walk past, stop and look, but do not lean over it. If they were to look from closer than that (from beside a meeting table), P1.5 is the better choice; if only from beyond 10 metres, P2.5 gives you the same experience at a more favourable investment. The free site survey provides a firm basis for that decision.

Digital signage in practice

Combined with CMS software, the Nova Star controller makes up a full digital signage system: content that changes by time of day, scheduled campaigns and zoned display can all be set up. Any media player, Android box or computer can be connected over the HDMI/DVI input, and in asynchronous mode MP4, JPEG and GIF content runs from an SD card with no computer at all. That flexibility is the essence of the payback: where changing a printed banner means print costs and days every single time, here the new promotion is on the wall within minutes. In a retail setting a digital display has been shown to increase footfall and impulse purchases.

Quality that will not let you down

It is a fair worry that a LED video wall will start to go patchy after a few years or become unrepairable – a real risk with no-name modules from mixed production runs. Every wall we build uses quality LED chips and bin-matched modules, so the colour of the surface is uniform and later replacement modules match it exactly. The 320×160 mm modules are individually replaceable from the front: fixing a pixel fault takes minutes, with no need to take the whole wall down. The service backing is our own and parts are available from stock – you will not be left without a display for weeks in the busiest season.

Consumption and handling in figures

Average consumption of the 3.7 m² surface with real, mixed content is typically 500–600 W – about the same as a microwave oven, except that it works for you all day. At 12 hours of daily operation that is roughly 6–7 kWh, or about €1.30 a day even at domestic rates. Handling requires no IT specialist: we teach the content manager in person at handover, and if you can write an email, you can handle this. With scheduled switching on and off, the wall starts by itself at opening time and shuts down at closing, and the brightness can be matched to the time of day.

Installation and what makes up the price

As this is an indoor installation, no official consent is needed, and for a wall this size the fitting, including the support structure, cabling and commissioning, typically takes 1 day. Our quote is itemised: you see the LED modules, the control, the support structure and the installation on separate lines, so there are no hidden costs. The site survey is free – that is when we assess the electrical connection, the cable route and the exact wall dimensions. Because of the modular build, the wall can be extended later with elements of the same pixel pitch if the space or the requirement grows.

Indoor LED video wall P2 – 256×144 cm — frequently asked questions

What makes up the price of the P2 LED video wall?

The quote itemises the LED modules, the Nova Star control system, the support structure and the installation – with no hidden costs. P2 is the best-value indoor category; we give an exact price after the free site survey.

How does content run on it without a computer?

In asynchronous mode the Nova Star controller plays MP4, JPEG and GIF content automatically from an SD card – it starts by itself once switched on, with no computer. You prepare the content with the software supplied, which we teach at handover.

What happens if a pixel fails?

The 320×160 mm modules are individually replaceable from the front: the faulty module can be lifted out and swapped in minutes while the rest of the wall keeps working. We supply a bin-matched replacement module from stock, so the colour stays uniform after the repair.

How much does it consume, and what is the real running cost?

Average consumption of the 3.7 m² surface with real content is around 500–600 W, which at 12 hours of daily operation is roughly 6–7 kWh a day – so only a few tens of euros a month in electricity.

How long will it last, and what is the warranty?

The lifespan of the LED chips is 100,000 hours, which at 12 hours of daily operation is more than 20 years. The warranty period is set out in the quote and can be extended with the Warranty+ package, while our own service team and spare parts stock remain available beyond the warranty too.

Can the surface be extended later?

Yes. Because of the modular build, the wall can be enlarged afterwards with modules of the same pixel pitch, and we check the capacity of the controller when doing so. It is worth flagging any intention to extend at the first installation, so that we size the support structure for it from the outset.
