An illuminated armchair with an 88 cm high backrest and a cushion, on a 70 × 68 cm footprint, 12 kg. The high backrest makes it a piece that stands on its own and photographs well — for VIP areas and photo spots. The price is shown above on this page.
LED armchair with high backrest, 70 × 68 × 88 cm (B116)
What sets the high-backrest LED armchair apart from the lower pieces in the range is that it is visible from the far end of the room even when you are standing. An 88 cm backrest, a 70 × 68 cm footprint, 12 kg. Because of that, this model does not disappear into a lounge island but marks a point in the space — a throne-like photo spot, a VIP seat, the focal piece of a ceremony.

Technical specifications
What the 88 cm backrest is good for
The backrest of a 76–79 cm high sofa ends behind the guest's back; an 88 cm backrest reaches above shoulder height, so the piece rises out of the space. That is good for two things: the guest really does lean back, and the piece is visible while you are standing, when the light has to register from a distance. It is the most popular shape for a photo spot, because the illuminated backrest frames the guest. At a wedding it can be the seat of the bride and groom, at a corporate evening the seat of the award winner.
Light, running time, cushion
A 5200 mAh battery, 6–8 hours of lighting depending on the colour. That covers the full length of an evening programme, and the seven colours are switched by remote control — if you are using it as a photo spot, pick the event's brand colour and leave it there all evening. The cushion is the only part that is not polyethylene: it has to be taken in before rain and at closing time. The body is IP54 water-resistant and UV-resistant, so that can stay outside. The daily routine is therefore simple: cushion out in the morning, cushion in at night.
Loading and storage
12 kg and 70 cm wide: one person carries it, with two hands. Two people can put two armchairs in on one trip, so a set of four takes two trips. The 88 cm backrest eats into the load height, but the footprint is small: at 70 × 68 cm, six pieces fit in a single layer on a 1.7 × 3 metre floor. This model is therefore far more economical to transport than any sofa over 170 cm, while giving a similar effect.
Outdoor use and operational cleaning
Polyethylene body, IP54, UV-resistant, impact-resistant, able to cope with extreme temperatures. It is made for outdoor use; the body does not have to be rescued in the rain. Cleaning is done with a damp cloth. In an event rental fleet this piece is often a photo spot, so plenty of hands touch it: fingerprints, make-up, drinks. All of that wipes off, which means the armchair that comes back can go out again the next day.
When to choose a different armchair instead
If the aim is to seat as many guests as possible on few square metres, the 64 cm wide, lower tub chair gives twice as many seats on the same area. And if the guest has to sit comfortably for hours, the 108 cm wide, deeper armchair is the better one. This model is the intersection of presence and footprint: a small base area with a tall, illuminated backrest. Choose it where the armchair is also a signal — a VIP area, a photo spot, a seat of honour. Where you only need somewhere to sit, a cheaper and smaller piece will do the same job.
Typical applications
LED armchair with high backrest, 70 × 68 × 88 cm (B116) — frequently asked questions
Why is a high backrest better at an event?
Because it reaches above shoulder height, so the piece rises out of the space and is visible from a distance. As a photo spot, the illuminated backrest frames the guest.
Can the cushion stay outside in the rain?
No, take that in before closing. The body of the furniture is IP54-rated and UV-resistant, so it can stay outside for the whole season.
How long does it light up for?
The manufacturer states 6–8 hours, depending on the colour chosen, from a 5200 mAh battery.
How many fit in a van?
With a 70 × 68 cm footprint, six pieces in one layer on a 1.7 × 3 metre floor. The 88 cm backrest affects only the height, not the footprint.
Can one person handle it?
Yes, at 12 kg and 70 cm wide it can be handled with two hands. A set of four is carried in by two people in two trips.
