When you need concealed storage
At a free-standing bar island that guests walk around, and at a two-person counter where an upper shelf would narrow the working space. At a corporate event where the bar stands in the middle of the room and appears in the photographs, a tidy overall look often matters more than half a second of reach. The practical arrangement is a mixed one: an element with an upper shelf (C181C) at the working position, elements with side storage at the ends. That way the fast-moving items are to hand while the less attractive ones stay out of sight.
A long counter from fewer elements
102 cm of counter per element: three elements give 306 cm, four give 408 cm. Compared with the 90 cm family that is a gain of 12 cm per element, so on a long counter you need one whole element fewer. With the 70 × 70 cm corner an L shape is built with 172 cm arms; two corners and three straight elements give a U shape with an island of roughly 274 × 172 cm, in which two or three bartenders can work.
Running time and light
Two 5600 mAh batteries work in it — the largest capacity in the range. The manufacturer states 6–8 hours of lighting time depending on the colour, which is ample for an evening of bar service; charging can be done during the day before opening. The seven colours switch by remote control on every element at once, so a counter assembled from several elements will not look patchy. No cable runs to it, so the bar goes where the flow of guests wants it.
Loading and the routine after closing
25 kg, 102 × 70 cm: plan for two people per piece, one element per trip. In the vehicle, four elements stand in one layer on a 1.7 × 3 metre floor. The body is IP54 water-resistant, UV-resistant, impact-resistant polyethylene. The counter top wipes down with a damp cloth; the inside of the side storage, though, is worth checking at closing, because that is where spilt syrup and ice water collect. Once emptied it wipes down just the same — there is no join line and no fabric.
What a complete counter costs
An L-shaped bar takes one corner and two straight elements; a closed U takes two corners and three straight elements.
