This set gives you the 109.5 cm high, three-element L-shaped counter - straight element with upper shelf, straight element with side storage, 70 x 70 cm corner - together with four bar stools with backrest of 104 cm overall height. Stools on the outside, the barman in the inner square
Between the two arms of the L there is a 102 x 102 cm square open on two sides - that is the barman's working space, and its two open sides are his way in and out. The stools therefore always go on the outside of the counter, never at the ends of the arms, where they would block the barman's path. Each outer side is 172 cm, 344 cm of counter in total. The four stools go two to a side, giving 86 cm per guest. Three would fit on one side at a squeeze, but because of the backrests there has to be room to walk behind the stools, and at a permanent bar a comfortable spacing pays off in the long run.
Footprint including the guests
The L counter occupies a square of 1.72 x 1.72 metres. On the two outer sides the stools take another 56 cm, so the overall dimension of the furniture is 172 + 56 = 228 cm in both directions, about 2.3 x 2.3 metres, 5.2 m2. In the corner of a room, set it so that the open sides of the barman's square face the walls and the guest side faces the room. Leave at least 90 cm between the ends of the arms and the wall for the barman to get in, and a metre of circulation behind the stools: that gives 90 + 172 + 56 + 100 = 418 cm, so reckon on a corner of about 4.2 x 4.2 metres.
Nine batteries through an evening's service
Five batteries work in the counter - two 5600 mAh cells in each straight element and one in the corner - and one 2600 mAh cell in each of the four bar stools. That is nine batteries, 38,400 mAh in total. The manufacturer states 6-8 hours of lighting for every piece, depending on the colour. At a permanent bar charging is routine: you put the seven pieces on charge before every opening, in the same order every time, timed to the opening hours. If the bar is open for longer than eight hours, it is enough to switch the lighting on at dusk: in daylight the light is less effective, while in the evening it is what gives the bar its character. Charge the bar stools together with the counter elements so that none of them drops out of the cycle.
Between two events, and when ordering
The bar of an event venue rarely moves, but the cleaning has to be done evening after evening. The counter top and the seats can be cleaned with a damp cloth, but check the inside of the side storage at closing time, because that is where syrup and melted ice run down. The IP54 protected, UV-resistant polyethylene can also stay outside on a terrace. If the bar has to be rearranged, two people manage it in four trips: three for the counter elements and one for the four stools. When ordering we check the seven pieces one by one; if the bar stool happens to be in short supply we offer a stool of similar height, whereas the counter elements are best assembled from this series alone.

Which side should the bar stools go on?
On the two outer sides of the L, two per side. The 102 x 102 cm square between the arms belongs to the barman and its two open sides are his way in, so no stool should go there or at the ends of the arms.
How much area is needed in the corner of a room?
The furniture itself takes about 2.3 x 2.3 metres. With the 90 cm the barman needs to get in and a metre of circulation behind the stools, reckon on a corner of about 4.2 x 4.2 metres. The open sides of the barman's square should face the walls.
