GOB technology gives the usual protection here too: the LEDs are cast into transparent resin, the surface is homogeneous and scratch-resistant, and the module can be opened and serviced from the front. Bin-matched selection of quality SMD1515 chips ensures uniform colour across the whole wall. P2 is often the best compromise for those who do not need the sharpness of the P1 series but want better image quality than the price of P2.5 delivers.

The P2 module is the most popular indoor choice because it already gives a perfectly smooth picture from a viewing distance of around 5 metres, which covers the typical layout of most business spaces, event halls and showrooms. The resolution of 250,000 pixels/m² provides enough detail for presentations, brand content and video alike, while the purchase and running costs are more favourable than with the fine-pitch P1 series. This module is ideal for projects where the wall shows many kinds of content — a corporate presentation in the morning, event visuals in the evening — and where there is no single narrow viewing distance to optimise for. At the site survey we always check whether the space genuinely calls for this pitch range, or whether a finer or coarser pitch would suit it better.

Camera-friendly refresh: live broadcast and photography

The P2 module offers a refresh rate of between 3840 and 7680 Hz, the widest range in the series — a high refresh rate is critical if the wall will be the backdrop for a live television broadcast, a corporate video shoot or photography, because at a lower refresh the camera sensor may record banding or flicker. That property makes P2 a favoured choice as a backdrop wall for press conferences, product launches and studio shoots, where the end result matters not only live but on recorded material too. The 14-bit greyscale and the 5000:1 contrast ensure that colour gradients stay smooth on the recording rather than banding.

GOB protection and handling the batch problem

On the P2 module too, the LEDs are cast into a transparent, hard layer of resin — this is the essence of GOB technology, which gives impact, dust and moisture resistance with a homogeneous, scratch-resistant surface. The panel is front serviceable, so replacing a faulty module needs no access to the space behind the wall. The most common complaint about cheap panels from unchecked sources is that a perceptible colour difference develops between the modules over time — we eliminate that by selecting quality SMD1515 chips by production batch, so the wall stays uniform even after a year of use.

Operation and local backing

The P2 module's average consumption is 173 W/m² and 521 W/m² at peak, which makes for a well-plannable electricity bill even on larger surfaces of several square metres. The HUB75 signal interface is a widely used industry standard, which means straightforward control card compatibility and quick servicing. Installation and training are carried out by our own team, and control is from a phone app or the cloud — if you can write an email, you can handle this too.
