A 40 × 40 × 40 cm illuminated cube stool weighing only 4.84 kg — the lightest and cheapest piece in the range; the price is shown above on this page. A stool, a set-down surface and a point of light in one, and it scales well in quantity.
LED cube stool, 40 × 40 × 40 cm (D104B)
The LED cube stool is the most flexible piece you can take into a venue. 40 × 40 × 40 cm, 4.84 kg: stool, small table, point of light, space divider — depending on where you put it. Because it is the cheapest item in the range, this is the model worth buying in quantity: twenty pieces on their own light and furnish a terrace or a tent.

Technical specifications
Four functions in one shape
As a stool, 40 cm is the height of low, relaxed seating — exactly what a festival or a chill-out zone needs. As a set-down surface next to a sofa it works just as well, because its top is flat. As a point of light, lined up along a wall, it marks out a route; as a space divider it shows where the zone ends without a barrier. That versatility is why more cubes always go out of a hire fleet than anything else: you do not have to decide in advance what it will be needed for.
4.84 kg and 0.16 m²: the best-scaling piece
You carry one in one hand, two at a time. On a 1.7 × 3 metre load floor, in one layer and without stacking, 4 × 7 — that is 28 pieces — will fit; the real number is lower because of the wheel arches and the securing, but it shows that this is the model you can genuinely move in quantity. Twenty pieces come to twenty times the price shown above, which is roughly what two and a half large sofas cost — the decision depends on whether you need to raise the number of guest places or the visual impact.
One evening, one charge
The 2600 mAh battery goes with the smaller body; the manufacturer states 6–8 hours of lighting time across the range, depending on the colour. That covers the full length of an evening programme, and the seven colours switch by remote control. If you are putting out a lot of pieces, it is worth building charging into the routine: the morning is for charging, the set-out is in the afternoon, the light is needed for the evening. The load capacity is 150–200 kg, so an adult guest can sit on it without a second thought, and even stand on it if the photographs need an extra level.
Outdoor use and cleaning
An IP54 water-resistant, UV-resistant, impact-resistant polyethylene body that also tolerates temperature extremes. At a festival that means it can be used in mud and rain and then wiped down. Cleaning is with a damp cloth. For twenty pieces that is half an hour's work for the whole set, not a day — which is why it is the cube that is worth holding in quantity in a hire fleet, rather than the more expensive, more delicate pieces.
What a whole zone costs
It is the cheapest item in the range. For comparison: a 190 cm illuminated sofa on its own seats three guests, and for the price of that one sofa you get about eight cube stools — eight seats and eight points of light. The choice depends on what you need to increase: if it is guest numbers and light, the cube is the more efficient answer; if it is visual impact and a photogenic centrepiece, then the large pieces are.
Typical applications
LED cube stool, 40 × 40 × 40 cm (D104B) — frequently asked questions
What else can it be used for besides seating?
As a set-down surface next to a sofa, as a point of light lined up along a wall, and as a space divider instead of a barrier. Because its top is flat, all four roles work.
How many fit in a van?
With a 40 × 40 cm footprint, in theory 28 pieces in one layer on a 1.7 × 3 metre floor. The real number is lower because of the wheel arches and the securing.
Can you stand on it?
The load capacity is 150–200 kg, so it takes an adult guest's weight. For photographs it is often used as an extra level.
Is one charge enough for a festival day?
For the evening part, yes: the manufacturer states 6–8 hours, depending on the colour. For a multi-day programme, plan a charging window during the day.
How long does it take to clean a set of 20?
About half an hour with a damp cloth. There is no upholstery and no seam, so neither stains nor trapped crumbs are left behind.
