How much seating it gives you
0.15 m² of floor area per piece. Along a 3-metre counter section, reckoning 45 cm each, six of these stools fit — against four or five bar stools with backrests in the same space. The 79 cm height suits the 100–110 cm counters and cocktail tables: the difference in height is 21–31 cm, which makes a comfortable position to lean on. For a dining table this stool is too high.
No backrest: a seat that turns over
Without a backrest the guest does not settle in for hours, so the seat turns over faster. At a bar counter and at a festival that is an operating advantage, not a shortcoming: more guests pass through the same place over an evening.
