A square illuminated coffee table with a 62 × 62 cm top, 42 cm high, with two 2600 mAh batteries. 8.2 kg, handled by one person, and it sits against a wall without wasted space. The price is shown above on this page.
LED coffee table square, 62 × 62 × 42 cm (C172)
A square illuminated coffee table is better than a round one where pieces have to be placed in a row or pushed against a wall. The 62 × 62 cm top of the C172 serves the glasses of two guests, its 42 cm height is the level of sofas and armchairs, and its weight of 8.2 kg means the staff can move it as the event runs, when the layout in the space changes.

Technical specifications
Why the square shape matters
Two pieces pushed together give a 124 cm long surface, three give 186 cm — so you can cover the full length of a longer sofa with table. That cannot be done with round tables, because there is always an unusable gap between the circles. It also sits against a wall or along a tent wall without wasted space. On a tight terrace that means the table does not intrude into the walkway, so the serving staff can still get past it.
Two batteries in a small body
Two 2600 mAh cells work in this model. The manufacturer states 6–8 hours of lighting time across the range, depending on the colour chosen — enough for the full length of an evening programme. The seven colours switch from the remote control, on every piece at once. On a low table the light comes from below, which is an advantage in a lounge zone: it lights the furniture around it but does not shine into the guest's eyes. There is no cable, so there is no trip hazard and no power point to plan for.
Loading and scaling
One person picks up 8.2 kg even with one hand, and carries two pieces at a time. During load-in this model does not slow anybody down. In the vehicle, the 62 × 62 cm footprint allows eight pieces in one layer on a 1.7 × 3 metre floor, if you do not stack them. Ten pieces is the item with which the table question of a ten-island lounge event can be settled in one go.
Outdoor use and cleaning
An IP54 water-resistant, UV-resistant, impact-resistant polyethylene body that also tolerates temperature extremes. On a terrace or in a garden it can stay outside all season, and showers will not harm it. It wipes down with a damp cloth, and there is no upholstery or seam on it. Wiping down a set of ten tables takes ten minutes, not an hour — which is why a hire fleet is better off holding quantity in the light, smooth-surfaced pieces.
What it costs to give every island a table
Ten lounge islands take ten tables. If you put in two per island — which is better with a longer sofa — that is twenty pieces. This is the price level at which it is worth buying more small tables rather than fewer large ones: two 62 × 62 cm tables cost about the same as one larger model, yet they can be put in two places, placed in a row, and hired out separately. In an events fleet it is the small pieces that turn over most.
Typical applications
LED coffee table square, 62 × 62 × 42 cm (C172) — frequently asked questions
Can several pieces be placed in a row?
Yes: two give a 124 cm surface, three a 186 cm one. That way the full length of a longer sofa can be covered with table, with no gap.
What seating is 42 cm for?
For armchairs and sofas of 72–79 cm in overall height. It cannot be used as a dining table; that calls for 73–76 cm.
Why are there two batteries in it?
Two 2600 mAh cells work in it. The manufacturer states 6–8 hours of lighting time across the range, depending on the colour chosen.
How many fit in a van?
With a 62 × 62 cm footprint, eight pieces in one layer on a 1.7 × 3 metre load floor.
How long does cleaning take?
About a minute per piece with a damp cloth. There is no upholstery and no seam, so neither stains nor trapped crumbs are left behind.
