How large a lounge island it serves
A Ø80 cm top, reachable from four directions: with three armchairs, or a corner sofa plus one armchair, everyone can get to it. The circumference of a Ø80 top is 251 cm, so with four guests sitting round it each has a 60 cm stretch of the top — just enough for a glass, a side plate and a phone. The round shape needs more room than a square one: it cannot be pushed against a wall without loss. So it belongs in the middle of the space, in the middle of an island, not at the edge.
Light from below, with no cable
Because it is 50 cm high, the light stays below the guests' eye level and the table also lights the furniture around it. That is the effect that makes an illuminated table more efficient in a lounge zone than a lamp: no stand, no cable, no power point. The 5200 mAh battery gives 6–8 hours of light depending on the colour, and the seven colours switch by remote control. A festival day or an evening corporate programme comes out of a single charge.
Loading, load space
12 kg and a low body: one person carries it, and there is no manoeuvring in doorways, because there is no backrest or projecting part. A crew of two puts two tables in per trip. The Ø80 cm diameter allows four pieces side by side in one layer on a 1.7 × 3 metre load floor. Because of the round shape, space is left unused in the corners — if you are transporting a lot of tables, a square model loads the vehicle better.
