The bean bag shape says that here you are allowed to sit loosely, leaning back. The difference from a fabric bean bag is that this is a polyethylene body: there is no filling in it, it does not flatten, it does not soak up water, and it glows from within. The two armchairs are 68 x 66 cm and 6 kg each, the table standing between them weighs 8.2 kg, and the set comes to 20.2 kg in total, the lightest of our lounge sets. Turned towards a screen it is a gaming corner, put in front of a projector it is a garden cinema, and in the corner of a meeting room it is the spot where the team sits down after lunch. Among the seven colours, the set can also be matched to the mood of the screen.

In front of a screen: the numbers of the layout
At a gaming event and at a garden cinema the two armchairs stand side by side facing the same screen, with the table between them. The row is 68 + 62 + 68 = 198 cm wide and 66 cm deep; leaving a 50 cm passage behind it, one row needs about 1.2 m of depth. Three sets therefore fit side by side in a 6 m wide garden cinema space, six seats per row. As a conversation corner the two armchairs stand facing each other or turned towards one another with the table in the middle. The set then fits into an area of about 2 x 1.1 m, which also fits into the corner of an office chill room or along the side of a university hall.
What the table is for: controller, glass, popcorn
The 62 x 62 cm table is 42 cm high, which is within reach of a guest sitting low and loose. At a gaming event the controller, the phone and the soft drink go on it; at a garden cinema the popcorn and the blanket. The advantage of the square top is that with sets arranged in a row the tables line up and the row stays tidy. Two 2600 mAh cells work in the table and one 5200 mAh cell in each armchair: four batteries in all, 15,600 mAh. The manufacturer states 6-8 hours of light depending on the colour, which covers a double screening or an evening run at a cinema.
At a garden cinema: light and picture together
Illuminated furniture cuts both ways at a screening: it helps the guest find a seat in the dark, but if you choose too strong a colour it can disturb the picture. During the screening a warm, restrained colour is therefore the right choice, and in the interval you can switch to a livelier colour on every piece at once with the remote control. Outdoors the body is IP54 protected, UV- and impact-resistant and withstands extreme temperatures too, so there is no need to hurry it in even after a dewy late-evening screening. Morning dew or a spilt soft drink comes off with a damp cloth, and since there is no cover, there is nothing to wash. In rain you will break off the screening anyway, but the furniture can stay outside.
One person can move it, even between two events
One person carries the 6 kg armchair in one hand, and the table weighs 8.2 kg. One person takes the whole set out in three trips, two people in two, which counts for a lot at a university event where students or volunteers do the carrying. In the load space the two armchairs and the table together ask for less than 1.5 m2 of floor. In an office the set can stay in place all year and move onto the terrace in ten minutes before a company event. Between two events it is enough to wipe the pieces down and charge them. Is it soft like a real bean bag?
No, only the shape is that of a bean bag: the body is hard polyethylene with no filling. In return it does not flatten, it does not soak up water, it glows from within, and after rain or a spilt drink it can be wiped down with a damp cloth. There is no cushion or cover on it.
How many sets fit into a garden cinema?
One set makes a row 198 cm wide and, with a passage behind it, about 1.2 m deep. Three sets, that is six seats, fit per row into a 6 m wide space, and the rows can be repeated every 1.2 m.
Does the light not disturb the screening?
With a strong, cold colour it can. During the screening choose a warm, restrained colour, which you can set on every piece at once with the remote control. In the interval a livelier colour is fine, so that guests can see.
How many batteries are there in the set?
Four: one 5200 mAh cell in each of the two armchairs and two 2600 mAh cells in the table, 15,600 mAh together. The manufacturer's figure is 6-8 hours per piece, depending on the colour chosen. For a garden cinema, charge them on the morning of the screening day.
Can I pack it away on my own?
