In short

The 2.6 × 3.2 metre, 8.3 m² P2.5 LED video wall is the entry size for anyone whose viewers sit at least 2.5 metres from the surface – from that distance the image is just as continuous as on a wall with a denser pixel pitch. Its resolution is 1040×1280 px (400 px/m), brightness is above 600 cd/m² and refresh above 6000 Hz, so it is also suitable for camera recording. With real content it consumes an average of below 147 W/m², about 1.2 kW for the whole wall. It is the sensible choice for smaller conference rooms, training rooms and shop interiors: the coarser pixel pitch means a more favourable investment, while the quality components and the service backing are the same as on the premium build.

Indoor LED video wall P2.5 – 2.6 × 3.2 m (8.3 m²)

The 260×320 cm P2.5 LED video wall is for those whose viewing distance is at least 2.5 metres – in a training room, a smaller conference room or a shop interior, that is a natural given. From that distance a P2.5 image gives exactly the same continuous, sharp experience as a denser pixel pitch, while the sparser LED layout means a more favourable capital cost. All the other image quality parameters – brightness, contrast, colour depth, refresh – match the P2 build, and we make no compromise on component quality or service backing either. The modules are arranged into 320×160 mm cabinets and are front-serviceable. At the free site survey we check against the seating layout whether P2.5 really is the optimal choice.

Who is P2.5 pixel pitch worth it for?

By the golden rule of pixel pitch and viewing distance (1 mm ≈ 2.5–3 m of comfortable viewing distance), the image of a P2.5 wall is continuous from 2.5 metres and perfectly comfortable to watch from 6 metres. In a training room or a smaller conference room the participants effectively never sit closer to the wall than that – so the extra paid for a denser pixel pitch would remain invisible there. That is exactly the common buyer's mistake: buying an unnecessarily fine pixel pitch for a space where the difference cannot be perceived. In that case P2.5 is the engineering-correct decision, and the budget freed up is better spent on the control, the sound system or on producing content. We work through this honestly with you at the survey.

Image quality in figures

The resolution is 1040×1280 px at a pixel density of 400 px/m – presentations, spreadsheets and video appear needle-sharp from a viewing distance of 2.5 metres. Brightness above 600 cd/m² is ample reserve indoors and can be regulated to the time of day or the lighting. A refresh rate above 6000 Hz does not flicker on camera capture either – training videos and webinar recordings can safely be made in front of the wall. Because of contrast above 5000:1 and 16.7 million colours, the colour rendering matches the more expensive P2 build: the difference lies purely in pixel density and the minimum viewing distance that follows from it, and in nothing else. The power feed is a standard 220 V supply.

A better price – but not at the expense of quality

It is important to be clear: P2.5 is not a lower-quality wall but one with a sparser pixel layout. The better price comes from fitting fewer LED chips per square metre – not from using weaker chips or mixed production runs. Here too, named, quality LED chips and bin-matched modules go into the wall, so the colour of the surface is uniform and stays that way for years. The cabinets are front-serviceable, a module swap is a matter of minutes, parts are available from regional stock and support is by phone. The 100,000-hour lifespan applies here too – more than 25 years at 10 hours of use a day.

Operation and handling

Peak consumption is 439 W/m², but with real content the average stays below 147 W/m² – so the 8.3 m² wall draws roughly 1.2 kW in use, which even at 10 hours of daily use is only an electricity cost in the order of €65–75 a month. Control is over Wi-Fi or LAN, even from a phone: changing content, scheduling and adjusting brightness are a few taps away. With the timer function the wall switches on by itself before the first class or before opening, and shuts down at the end of the day. We teach the controls at handover – if you can write an email, you can handle this – and phone support is available afterwards.

Installation and later extension

Because the cabinets arrive pre-built and calibrated, work on site is quick: the support structure, joining, cabling and commissioning are typically finished in 1–2 days, and an indoor wall needs no official consent. The quote itemises the price – modules, control, support structure, installation – so you can see exactly what you are spending on what. Thanks to the modular build, the surface can be extended later with cabinets of the same pixel pitch: if the training room moves into a larger space, the wall can go with it and grow further. It is worth flagging any plans to extend at the free site survey so that we size the controller with reserve from the outset.

Indoor LED video wall P2.5 – 2.6 × 3.2 m (8.3 m²) — frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the P2 and P2.5 builds?

P2.5 works with a sparser pixel layout: fewer LED chips per square metre, hence the better price. The optimal viewing distance is above 2.5 metres – beyond that the image is indistinguishable from P2, and every other parameter (brightness, contrast, refresh) is identical.

Does the image stay sharp enough viewed from 2.5 metres?

Yes. From a viewing distance of 2.5 metres a P2.5 wall gives just as continuous and pixel-free an image as a P2 build – the difference would only become visible from a closer viewpoint.

Does the lower price not mean lower quality?

No: the better price comes from the sparser LED layout, not from the components. It comes with the same quality LED chips, bin-matched modules, service backing and 100,000-hour lifespan as the P2 walls.

How much does it consume day to day?

With real content the average consumption stays below 147 W/m², so the 8.3 m² wall draws about 1.2 kW – at 10 hours of daily operation an electricity cost in the order of €65–75 a month.

Who installs it, and how long does it take?

Our own installation team fits it, typically in 1–2 days including the support structure and commissioning. Training in how to use it is part of the handover – not a separate cost.

Can it be extended later, or moved to another room?

Yes. The modular cabinet system can be taken apart, relocated and extended with modules of the same pixel pitch – we check the controller's capacity when extending.
