In short

A compact but hard-hitting P3 outdoor LED video wall that delivers a tight image across 8.2 square metres, sharp even at close range. A perfect choice for facades, pylons and entrance surfaces where space is limited but the effect cannot be a half measure. Its modular cabinet build makes it quick to install and extendable later. The 100,000-hour LED chip and bin-matched production guarantee that the image stays even for years without patching. It runs at around 262 W/m² on average, which on a square surface of this size means a predictable, plannable running cost.

Outdoor LED video wall P3 – 2.6 × 3.2 m (8.3 m²)

The 2.6 × 3.2 metre P3 outdoor LED video wall is for businesses that will not compromise on image quality but do not have a huge facade to work with. Thanks to a density of 105,625 pixels/m², text and logos stay sharp close up, not only from a distance. IP65 protection and modular cabinets mean reliable operation in rain, snow and direct sun, and control is available remotely from an app. Because of its square, compact proportions, this size performs particularly well for showing a logo, an emblem or a brand name, where the emphasis is not on scrolling text but on an instantly recognisable visual mark. Despite the compact size there is no compromise in the built-in electronics or the brightness compared with our larger walls.

Who we recommend this size for

The 8.2 square metre surface is ideal where the available facade or pylon area does not allow displays of several tens of square metres, but the company still wants a striking, highly visible digital surface. It typically goes above a shop entrance, on the pylon of a smaller filling station, on a car dealership facade or on the reception front of an office building. Because P3 pixel density is high, viewers read the text clearly from as close as 3–4 metres, which is key in busy, pedestrian locations. The compact size involves no compromise in technology: it has the same brightness, contrast and refresh rate as its larger siblings, it simply has to fit into a smaller space.

Installation and operation

We start the wall with a site survey, looking at the options for the support structure, the power supply and network availability. The cabinets go onto a bespoke mounting frame, which we adapt to the conditions on site (wall, steel frame, pylon). During commissioning we calibrate brightness and colour, then train the operator on the control software, from which content can be changed even from a phone, along with scheduling and time-of-day brightness control. Thanks to the modular build, replacing a faulty element is also quick, with no need to dismantle the whole wall.

Why this will not become a cheap display that fails quickly

Quality varies considerably across the LED video walls on the market: the main risk is a module assembled from mixed production batches, where the shade of individual elements ages differently over time and the wall becomes patchy. We rule that out by always using LED chips selected from the same batch for a given wall, and by individually testing every incoming cabinet before installation. Modules are replaced from the front, without breaking into the wall, and the most common parts are held in stock, so a fault means a local repair over a few days rather than weeks of waiting for an import.

Consumption, handling, training

Average consumption of an 8.2 square metre wall typically works out at around 262 W/m², rising to at most 786 W/m² at peak load – at this size that is a well-calculable electricity bill line even with regular daily operation. We developed the control software so that it requires no technical background: if you can write an email, you will handle this system confidently too. On-site training is an integral part of the handover, where we go through uploading content, scheduling and the most common settings, so that you can operate the wall independently from the day it is commissioned.

Outdoor LED video wall P3 – 2.6 × 3.2 m (8.3 m²) — frequently asked questions

Will the image be sharp enough at such a close viewing distance?

Yes, that is exactly what the P3 raster is for: from a viewing distance of 3–4 metres the image already looks pixel-free, so the content stays perfectly readable close to entrances and facades.

How long does it take to build a wall of this size?

From the site survey to commissioning typically takes a few weeks, depending on the manufacture of the support structure and access to the site. The cabinet installation and calibration themselves take one to two days.

Can the wall be extended later?

Yes, the modular cabinet build means the wall can be extended afterwards, provided the support structure and the available surface allow it. It is worth mentioning this at the site survey so that we can prepare for the extension.

What is the warranty, and what is included in the price?

The quote itemises the LED cabinets, the support structure, the control system and the installation, so you can see exactly what you are paying for. We provide a factory warranty on the modules, and the optional Warranty+ package also secures service call-outs over a longer term.

How long will a wall like this last, and who repairs it if it fails?

The nominal lifespan of the LED chips is 100,000 operating hours, which at 10–12 hours a day can mean 20–25 years, although the recommended replacement cycle in practice is shorter because of the gradual decline in brightness. Repairs are carried out by our own service team, with spare parts held in regional stock and module swaps accessible from the front.
