This version is technically identical to the outdoor P2.5 cabinet LED poster display – a 192 × 64 cm image area, 256 × 768 pixels, 2.5 mm pixel pitch, 4,500–5,000 nits, minimum 3,840 Hz, 45 kg, max. 0.8 kW – with the addition of a wheeled storage and transport case. The indicative price is about €2,490 net; the premium for the case is exactly about €250 net. This is the right choice if the poster display goes into a vehicle several times a month: to fairs, festivals, between sites, or out on hire. If it stands in one place all year, there is no point spending on it. The manufacturer's data sheet does not give the overall dimensions of the case for this outdoor model, so we request them in writing before the order.
Outdoor P2.5 LED poster display 64 × 192 cm, cabinet build + wheeled flight case
The flight case version of the outdoor P2.5 LED poster display is not a different display but the same panel with a logistics solution added. Every technical figure matches the base version: the image area is 192 × 64 cm, the resolution 256 × 768 pixels, the pixel pitch 2.5 mm, the brightness 4,500–5,000 nits, the refresh at least 3,840 Hz, the weight 45 kg and the maximum power draw 0.8 kW. The only difference is the wheeled storage and transport case, for which the manufacturer charges a premium of about €250 net. This version is made for anyone who does not install in one place but moves: for an event production hire company, a stand builder, a marketing agency, a business running several sites. The case is not a convenience accessory but risk management: on a 45 kilogram device with a cabinet structure, damage in transit is the one fault that can scupper a booking on the spot.

Technical specifications
The premium for the case is exactly about €250 net over the base version. In price per square metre, about €2,020 net/m² (our calculation).
Part of the package. It protects the panel during transport and during storage between two events; because it is on castors, one person can push it on a level surface.
We do not take over the case dimensions given for the indoor versions. We request them in writing before the order, because that is what decides whether it will fit in your vehicle.
The 45 kg is the weight of the poster display. The shipping weight measured with the case is greater; we request the exact figure in writing before the order.
Identical to the base version. The distance between the centres of two pixels; it determines how close you can stand with the image staying continuous.
A portrait surface in an exact 3:1 ratio. Portrait video fits without distortion; landscape 16:9 material only with cropping.
For content production it is worth supplying a file of exactly 256 × 768 pixels. Pixel density is the best figure for comparison against another quote.
An outdoor figure, roughly six to seven times the 700–800 nits of the indoor poster displays (our calculation). At an outdoor event this is what makes the surface usable in daylight.
For event use this is one of the most important figures: the surface will not band in press photographs or on social media video.
One module is 4.2 per cent of the image area (our calculation). With transit damage a single piece is replaced — and the case reduces that risk.
It can also be transported broken down into pieces. Setting up is an assembly rather than a single movement; the manufacturer's data sheet does not state how long it takes, so we measure it at handover.
The 201 cm passes through a standard 210 cm door but not under a low garage door. One person can roll the 45 kg on a level surface; lifting takes two people.
828 watts at 230 volts (our calculation); a conventional 16 amp circuit is enough. At 10 hours of daily operation the upper limit is 240 kWh a month (our calculation).
At an event UTP is the safe route, because it does not depend on the venue's Wi-Fi. Two poster displays together give a 128 × 192 cm, 1536 × 256 pixel surface (our calculation).
An outdoor-build product, but no numerical dust and water resistance class is published. We request a written IP declaration from the manufacturer before every order.
This matters particularly in hire use, because the device is more heavily worked. We set out the length and content of the warranty in the written quote.
Items from the manufacturer's data sheet. Not included: content production, on-site fixing in a windy environment and any consents.
Why the case decides mobile use
Not comfort, but risk management
On a fixed-installation display the case really is an unnecessary outlay. As soon as the poster display goes into a vehicle regularly, though, the equation reverses. The image area is made up of 24 modules of 16 × 32 cm each; a single damaged piece among them causes a visible fault on the surface, and the surface is down on the day of the event. The case addresses three specific risks. The first is knocks during loading: with a panel packed loose under a blanket, objects shifting in the boot are the greatest danger. The second is vibration in transit, which over a longer journey also stresses the connections. The third is storage: between two events the poster display typically stands in a store, exposed to dust, damp and other people's loading. For anyone loading in weekly, this premium pays for itself with a single avoided module replacement — and the loading time is shorter too, because one person can push the wheeled case.
What the manufacturer does and does not state about the case
The figure we request in writing before the order
We have to be honest here, because it affects the decision. The manufacturer's data sheet gives the overall dimensions of the wheeled flight case for the indoor poster versions but not for the outdoor cabinet model. So we do not write centimetres here: we do not take over another product's figure and present it as if it were this one's. What we know: alongside the poster display the package includes a wheeled storage and transport case, and the premium is about €250 net. What the data sheet does not state: the overall dimensions of the case for this model, the weight of the case itself, the gross shipping weight of the complete package, the material of the case, its internal lining and whether it locks. We request that list from the manufacturer in writing before the order, and enter the confirmed data item by item in the quote. If the question is whether it will fit in the company estate car or van, it is only worth answering with confirmed overall dimensions — guessing at this point is expensive.
About €250 net is the difference — when it is worth it
One question to answer honestly
The base version is about €2,240 net; the flight case version about €2,490 net (indicative, excluding VAT). The difference is about €250 net, and in price per square metre about €2,020/m² instead of €1,820/m² (our calculation). To decide, it is enough to answer how many times a year the poster display goes into a vehicle. At zero or one or two moves a year, the case takes up storage space and the money is better spent on content production. At five to ten moves a year it is already a borderline case, and what matters is the conditions you transport it in: in a shared van load with other equipment, the case is clearly justified. At monthly moves, on hire, or on a fair circuit, the question is settled. The cost of a single module replacement plus the revenue from the lost booking together typically comes to more than €250 — it is worth writing that out with your own specific figures before you decide.
Moving 45 kilograms — how many people, what vehicle
The logistics figures to plan with
The poster display weighs 45 kg. On a level surface one person can roll it on the wheeled base, but lifting — a threshold, stairs, a loading edge, putting it into a vehicle — takes two people; that is worth keeping in mind when planning event build times, because the build window is typically fixed. The poster display has a demountable cabinet structure, so it can also be transported broken down into pieces, which improves handling. The manufacturer's data sheet does not state how long setting up takes, though, and we do not invent such a figure: at handover, as part of the training, we measure it together and write the measured time into the documentation, so that you can prepare for the next event with a realistic schedule. Total height with castors is 201 cm, product width 66 cm and the base 45 × 66 cm. The 201 cm matters because upright it passes through a standard 210 cm door but not under a low garage door or lintel — typically the detail that emerges on site if it was not measured beforehand.
Hire: how many hire days before it pays back
A worked example with your own assumptions
For event production hire companies this surface is not a cost but a revenue-generating asset, so payback is worth counting in days rather than in money. From our market research, the day rate in this category for the first day is in the order of €120 net; that is an assumption, not our price list, and your own market and client base will override it. On that assumption, the €2,490 net purchase price of the flight case version pays back in roughly 21 hire days, and the €2,240 of the base version in about 19 days (our calculation). That is not the whole picture: in hire work the transport, the on-site technician, the storage and the depreciation are costs too, while on a multi-day hire the fee for the further days, and the enquiries you previously turned down but can now take on with your own equipment, go into the other side of the scale. The point is the method: write down your own day rate and the number of enquiries you turned down last year, and the figure comes out by itself.
When NOT to choose this version
Three situations in which the base version is the better decision
If the poster display stands in one place all year — in front of a shop window, beside an entrance, on a site — then the case is pure extra cost and takes up storage space; in that case the base version is the right choice, and the difference is better spent on content production. If the poster display will stay indoors only, then the 4,500–5,000 nit brightness is not merely unnecessary but intrusive: at indoor light levels the indoor P2.5 version gives the same image area at about €1,630 net, and about €1,990 net with a case — both cheaper than this. And if viewers look at the picture from within two metres for sustained periods, then the case is not the question but the pixel pitch: a 2.5 mm grid is discernible from that close, and the indoor P2 GOB or P1.5 GOB poster display gives the right image. The case is a good solution, but it does not fix choosing the wrong model in the first place.
The same panel — the technical data matches exactly
What the premium does not add
It is important to be clear that the premium does not buy you a better picture. The pixel pitch on both versions is 2.5 mm, the resolution 256 × 768 pixels, the pixel density 160,000 px/m² (our calculation), the brightness 4,500–5,000 nits, the refresh at least 3,840 Hz, and the module layout 24 modules of 16 × 32 cm in a 4 column × 6 row arrangement. The maximum current draw of 3.6 A and the maximum power of 0.8 kW are identical too, so the running cost does not differ either: at 10 hours of daily operation the upper limit is 240 kWh a month (our calculation). The built-in control unit, with Wi-Fi, UTP and audio port, is the same, as is the linkability: two poster displays side by side give a continuous 128 × 192 cm surface at 1536 × 256 pixels. What is also the same: the manufacturer's data sheet gives no ingress protection rating for this version either, nor a specific warranty period, nor a lifespan in operating hours. We request these in writing before the order and set them out in the quote.
Typical applications
Outdoor P2.5 LED poster display 64 × 192 cm, cabinet build + wheeled flight case — frequently asked questions
How big is the case, and will it fit in the company car?
The manufacturer's data sheet does not give the overall dimensions of the case for this outdoor cabinet model, so we do not write centimetres here — we do not take over the case dimensions given for the indoor versions. We request the exact overall dimensions from the manufacturer in writing before the order, and only answer whether it will fit in your vehicle with the confirmed figure.
What is the total shipping weight with the case?
The 45 kg is the weight of the poster display; the manufacturer's data sheet does not give the weight of the case itself or the gross weight of the package. We request that in writing too. For planning, what is certain is that one person can roll the 45 kg on a level surface, but lifting — a loading edge, stairs, putting it into a vehicle — takes two people.
How much more expensive is this than the base version?
By exactly about €250 net. The base version is about €2,240 net; this version is about €2,490 net (indicative, excluding VAT). The picture, the resolution and the brightness are identical on both — the premium is purely the case.
Does the flight case version give a better picture?
No, not at all. The pixel pitch on both is 2.5 mm, the resolution 256 × 768 pixels, the brightness 4,500–5,000 nits and the refresh at least 3,840 Hz. The premium serves purely a logistical and condition-protection purpose. If you do not move the device, you gain nothing from it.
Can the case be bought afterwards if I take the base version now?
On the manufacturer's data sheet the case is part of a product version and does not appear as a standalone, separately orderable item. We therefore have to ask the manufacturer about a subsequent purchase case by case, and we do not promise it in advance. If you know you will be moving it, ordering the flight case version first time round is cheaper.
How long does it take to set up at an event?
The manufacturer's data sheet gives no set-up time for this demountable cabinet model, and we do not invent such a figure. At handover, as part of the training, we measure the real time together and write it into the documentation, so that you can plan the build schedule for the next event with a realistic figure.
Is it worth buying for hire? How long before it pays back?
Payback is best looked at in hire days. From our market research, the first-day rate in this category is in the order of €120 net — that is an assumption, not our price list. On that basis the €2,490 net price pays back in roughly 21 hire days (our calculation), excluding the cost of transport, a technician and storage. It is worth recalculating with your own day rate.
Does the case protect it from rain during transport?
The manufacturer's data sheet gives no information on the material, lining or locking of the case, so we make no water resistance promise about it. What we know: it is a wheeled storage and transport case that reduces the mechanical risks of loading and storage. We request the detailed material characteristics in writing before the order.
What ingress protection rating does the poster display have?
The manufacturer's data sheet gives no IP rating for this model, on either the base or the flight case version. The product is an outdoor build, but no numerical dust and water resistance class is published, so we do not write a value here either. We request a written IP declaration from the manufacturer before every outdoor order.
In intensive hire use, what happens if a module is damaged?
The image area is made up of 24 individually replaceable 16 × 32 cm modules; one module is 4.2 per cent of the surface (our calculation), so the whole poster display is not replaced. The demountable cabinet structure also makes access easier. The manufacturer's data sheet does not give the warranty period, so we set that — and the service deadline — out in the quote.
Does it work at an event without Wi-Fi?
Yes. Besides Wi-Fi, the built-in control unit is also reachable over a UTP port, so content can be uploaded and controlled over a cable. At an event venue that is the safer route, because it does not depend on the venue's congested guest network. There is an audio port for sound too.
Can two poster displays be taken together and used as one surface?
Yes, the control can be daisy-chained across several units, and two poster displays side by side give a continuous 128 × 192 cm surface at 1536 × 256 pixels (our calculation). In event terms that means you take out one panel for smaller enquiries and two for larger ones, with the same content management.
