How the seating set is built from it
The cushioned straight element is 78 cm wide and the corner is likewise 78 × 78 cm. Two straight elements plus one corner give an L shape with a footprint of roughly 234 × 78 cm. Four straight elements and two corners already make a U, seating eight to ten guests with a low table in the middle. The main operating advantage of modular building is that the same stock can be laid out at every venue. A fixed 240 cm sofa either fits the space or it does not — here the length can be set in 78 cm steps.
Daily handling of the cushion
The body is polyethylene, IP54 water-resistant and UV-resistant, so it can stay outside. The cushion cannot: it has to be taken in before rain and at closing time. With a ten-element set that is two rounds a day, about ten minutes, and it needs a dry store on site. For hire, record the cushions by the piece: they wear, go missing and have to be replaced. The body, on the other hand, is ready to go out again as soon as it is wiped down — the two parts live separate life cycles.
Light, running time, operational reliability
One 5200 mAh battery per element, 6–8 hours of lighting time depending on the colour. Because every element lights up independently, a long set does not hang on a single battery: if one element runs flat, the others go on lighting and it can be swapped for a charged one. The seven colours are switched by remote control on every element at once, so the assembled set stays uniform. No cable runs to it, so there is no trip hazard in the guest area.
Loading and storage
14.5 kg and 78 cm wide: one person carries it over a short distance, while over a longer route two are better. Two people put two elements in on one trip, so a six-element U shape is three trips, realistically a quarter of an hour. In the load space, at 78 × 78 cm, four elements fit in a single layer on a 1.7 × 3 metre floor. A mixed set — four straight elements and two corners — still goes into a larger van, if the floor is used properly.
What a cushioned seating set costs
The cushioned corner element costs slightly more than the straight one; both prices are shown on their own product pages. An L shape — one corner and two straight elements — costs the sum of those three pieces, and a ten-seat U shape — two corners and four straight elements — the sum of six. The same U shape from the uncushioned modular family costs about a fifth more, so the cushioned set is the cheaper one, but it comes with cushions to be carried in and out every day. The decision is therefore not about price: for a permanent, covered terrace the cushioned stock is the more practical, and for a frequently moved rental fleet the uncushioned one.
