In short

The VP210 video processor is what lets you show a live video signal, a presentation or computer content on the LED wall over an HDMI or DVI input, passing it on to the wall synchronously, in real time and with no delay. Its built-in scaler automatically matches the incoming signal to the wall's actual resolution, so there is no need for separate software configuration every time. It is the basic tool for showing live content on small and mid-sized walls at events, conferences and in showrooms. With a 1-year warranty, spare parts held in stock and expert commissioning, we make sure there are no technical surprises during a live event.

Indoor and outdoor

Video processor VP210

The VP210 video processor is the heart of synchronously controlled LED walls, passing the HDMI or DVI signal from a computer, laptop or other source on to the wall in real time and continuously. The built-in scaler automatically converts the input resolution to the LED wall's actual pixel size, so the picture appears across the full surface without distortion. Because this is a synchronous system, every change appears on the wall immediately with no delay, which is what makes it suitable for live presentations, video and moving-image content. The VP210 is optimal for small and mid-sized walls, with a simple interface and quick setup, built from quality-controlled components.

When a video processor is needed

If you want to show live video, a computer presentation, browser content or any real-time signal on your LED wall, an asynchronous controller is not enough — you need a video processor. The VP210 fills exactly that role: it takes the signal source over an HDMI or DVI port and passes it on to the wall continuously and live. This matters especially at events and conferences, where the content on screen may change from second to second, or where the LED wall has to mirror the output of a laptop, camera or media player. Because of the scaler function you need not worry about whether the source resolution exactly matches the wall's pixel count — the VP210 handles that automatically.

Compatibility and limits

The VP210 works with the widely used receiving cards and HUB75-based LED modules, sending its output on to the receiving cards through the built-in ports. It is important to know that the VP210 was made primarily for small and mid-sized walls and a smaller number of input sources; if you want to handle several signal sources at once, use switching or picture-in-picture, or drive a larger wall, it is worth choosing the higher-capacity VP410 video processor. The VP210 and the asynchronous WF range often appear together in one installation: the video processor is set up for live events and the asynchronous controller for the default, static content, and switching between the two is easily arranged.

The technical depth needed for cameras and larger events

If the purpose of the wall is to be broadcast through a camera — as the backdrop to a press conference or a concert, for instance — the refresh rate is an important consideration: for camera-friendly display we recommend a module assembly with a refresh rate of at least around 3840 Hz or higher, so that no banding or flicker appears in the recording. The VP210 passes this signal on stably and in sync, but the end result also depends on the quality of the modules paired with it, so before event or camera use we always recommend agreeing the exact module type. An undersized power supply and support structure are the most common mistake on larger event walls, and we always check that during our survey.

Reliability during a live event

At a live event the worst scenario is the wall going down through a technical fault in front of the audience. We use quality-controlled components in the VP210, and before larger events we recommend a rehearsal run so that every signal source and cable run works stably. In the event of a failure we supply the part from regional stock with service backing behind it, and for event-critical projects we can also prepare with a spare unit. We give a 1-year warranty on the unit, and on request we also provide technical support on site for the duration of the event.

Video processor VP210 — frequently asked questions

How does it differ from an asynchronous controller?

A video processor sends a continuous, live signal to the wall from the input source, whereas an asynchronous controller plays back content stored in its memory. Live video and presentations call for a video processor.

Is separate software needed to set it up?

The VP210's built-in scaler automatically matches the incoming signal to the wall's resolution; day-to-day use typically needs no separate software.

When is it worth choosing the larger VP410?

If you want to handle several input sources at once, use switching or picture-in-picture, or drive a larger wall, the VP410 is the more suitable choice.

Is it suitable for camera broadcast, so the recording does not flicker?

For camera-friendly display we recommend a module assembly with a refresh rate of at least around 3840 Hz alongside the VP210; we agree this in advance based on the intended use.

Who operates it at an event, and what if a technical problem arises?

On event-critical projects we also provide technical support on site and a rehearsal run; in the event of a failure we replace the part from regional stock with service backing behind it.

What is the warranty, and who repairs it if it breaks?

We give a 1-year warranty on the VP210, with service backing and spare parts held in regional stock, so there is no waiting on an import in the event of a failure.
