This compact 64×16 cm indoor LED message sign works as a queue display, a call display and a short-message unit. Over its RS232 port it can be linked to the most widely used queue-management software, and the next number appears automatically. The high contrast of the red LEDs is optimised for indoor reading at a few metres. It is the most widespread build in doctors' surgeries and government waiting rooms, with service backing and simple plug-and-play installation.
LED message sign 64×16 cm – mini indoor queue display
The 64×16 cm mini build of the LED message sign was designed specifically for queue display and customer-call systems: through its RS232 port it can be integrated into any compatible waiting-room software, and it automatically shows the next number in the queue and the number of the counter calling. The high contrast of the red LEDs gives excellent legibility even in dim indoor light. Its compact size means it can be fitted easily above any counter, door or wall without becoming an oversized or distracting element in the waiting area.

Who this size is for, and what space it suits
The 64×16 cm display is matched deliberately to the size of a typical waiting room: it is optimised for a reading distance of 3–8 metres, which is exactly right for a doctor's surgery, a customer service counter or an official waiting room. The high contrast of the red LEDs is clearly visible in indoor, artificial light and needs no particularly high brightness, because the purpose here is reading, not catching attention from a distance.
Queue display integration
It communicates with the ticket-dispensing system over an RS232 serial line. It is compatible with the most widely used waiting-room software packages in Europe. Installation is plug and play: set the display type in the software and enter the COM port number, and it then drives the message sign automatically.
Counter identification and multi-counter systems
Each counter needs its own 64×16 cm display. The units communicate over a serial chain, and each display is given a unique address. That way several counters can call customers at the same time, with each display showing its own number.
Quality, installation and service
The LEDs built into the display come from a controlled production batch, which guarantees even brightness for years even under intensive, all-day official use. Thanks to the plug-and-play design, installation is typically completed in under an hour, and we help with the software settings too. In the event of a fault, our service backing and the spare parts held in regional stock ensure that the waiting room is not left without a queue display for days. We provide a full warranty, and at handover we also train the operating staff in using the system.
Typical applications
LED message sign 64×16 cm – mini indoor queue display — frequently asked questions
Which waiting-room software packages is the LED queue display compatible with?
Over the RS232 protocol it is compatible with most waiting-room systems, including Q-Flow, QueueMetrics and bespoke in-house systems. For a custom integration we provide API documentation.
How many counters can one LED message sign system serve?
There is no theoretical limit – each counter needs its own display, and these communicate with the software over a serial chain or a hub. Systems of anywhere from 1 to 100+ counters can be built.
How long does a queue display running all day last?
A service life of around 100,000 hours covers 20–30 years even at 8–10 hours of official use a day; in reality the unit is typically replaced because of a software upgrade or an extension, not because of a fault.
Who installs it, and how long does commissioning take?
Our own engineers carry out both the fitting and the software integration, which because of the plug-and-play design is typically completed in under an hour per counter.
What is the warranty, and what happens in the event of a fault?
We provide a full warranty; if a fault occurs, our service backing and the spare parts held in regional stock mean we resolve the swap or the repair within days rather than weeks.
Can the system be extended later with further counters?
Yes. Because of the serial chaining, the system can be extended at any time with new counters and displays, without having to replace the existing units.
