Why is this the most popular event room size?
The 10 m² surface became the favourite of conference rooms and corporate event spaces because it provides serious visual presence while staying manageable in scale. At a P2 pixel pitch the image is continuous from 2 metres and the comfortable viewing distance works out at 5 metres – so in a typical event room seating layout everyone from the front row to the back sees a sharp image. Presentation slides, corporate films, live camera feeds and background visuals all work well on it, and the 2.6 metre height fits comfortably under most ceiling heights. If the room has unusual characteristics, we confirm at the free site survey whether this really is the ideal size.

The resolution is 1300×1925 px, that is 500 px/m – Full HD source material can be handled on it without scaling and without loss. Brightness above 600 cd/m² gives a readable image even at an event held in daylight with windows, and it can be turned back automatically for dimmed room lighting. A refresh rate above 6000 Hz is free of banding on camera capture and live streams, and contrast above 5000:1 with 16.7 million colours gives deep blacks and accurate gradients. The system runs from a standard 220 V supply, and peak consumption is 439 W/m² (about 4.4 kW for the whole wall), which we take into account in the electrical design – that too is part of the survey.
Reliability: what makes this different from a cheap import wall?
The typical problem with walls of unknown origin ordered online is the mixed production run: the shade of the modules differs, the surface is patchy, and when a panel dies there is no part for it. Every wall we build uses quality LED chips and bin-matched modules, and each of the 24 cabinets is individually serviceable: a failed module can be replaced from the front in minutes while the rest of the wall keeps working. Parts are available from regional stock within days, and support is by phone. That is how the 100,000-hour lifespan – decades even with several events a week – can genuinely be realised.
Operation during an event and afterwards
Peak consumption is 439 W/m², but with real content the average stays below 147 W/m² – so the whole wall draws roughly 1.5 kW in use, or 10–15 kWh over an event day, which comes to a few euros. Control is over Wi-Fi or LAN, even from a tablet or a phone: changing content, scheduled switching on and off and transition effects are handled with a few taps. You do not need a technician at the event: if you can write an email, you can handle this. We teach the controls in person at handover, and support is available afterwards.
Installation, extension and payback
The 24 cabinets arrive pre-built and calibrated, and on-site work including the support structure and commissioning typically takes 1–2 days. An indoor wall needs no official consent. The quote is itemised: modules, control, support structure, installation – with no hidden costs. Because of the modular build, the surface can be extended later with cabinets of the same pixel pitch. For an event venue the wall is a competitive advantage: the room can be let in a higher class at a higher price, and the cost of decoration (banners, printed backdrops) falls away for good – the investment typically pays for itself over a few dozen events.
