How much does LED wall rental cost in Hungary in 2026? Prices, examples, calculator

The answer to the question of LED wall rental cost on most providers' sites is ‘request a quote’. We do it differently: our pricing has three items, all three are public, and a postcode-based calculator works out the full amount for your venue. In this article we go through the items, work out three real examples, and show what makes a hire cheaper or more expensive — so you know the price before you pick up the phone. All euro figures are indicative, converted at a fixed 400 HUF/EUR.

The base rate: a net daily price per panel

Our rental LED wall comes in five versions: indoor P1.5 and P2 GOB, indoor P2.5, and, for open sky, the outdoor cabinet-built P2.5 and P3. In every version one panel is 64 cm wide, 192 cm tall, portrait, 320 × 960 pixels, and the panels link side by side. The rental fee is therefore per panel, not per square metre. The list price covers the indoor P2: about €75 net per panel per day at the fixed conversion — the figures below all refer to that version, and the others are quoted individually, because their purchase prices differ. One panel for one day is thus about €75 net, two panels about €150 net, three panels about €225 net, four panels about €300 net, five panels — the 320 × 192 cm wall close to 16:9 — about €375 net per day. For several days the same daily rate is multiplied by the number of days; we currently advertise no discount band, and if one is introduced, the calculator applies it automatically.

Delivery: a net rate per kilometre, there and back

The second item is delivery, and it is the one most price articles keep quiet about. With us the fee is charged net per kilometre of the return road distance from Győr — about €0.50 net per kilometre at the fixed conversion. For a one-day hire we count one return trip, because we bring it in the morning and collect it in the evening. For a multi-day hire two separate trips are needed — delivery on the first day, collection on the last — so delivery counts twice. The calculator takes the kilometres from the postcode using real route planning, not as the crow flies: central Budapest, for example, is 121 km from Győr, i.e. 242 km there and back; Pécs 301 km, i.e. 602 km there and back. In Győr and its immediate surroundings delivery is practically zero.

The optional items: operator and loading surcharge

The third item is optional. For a one-day event you can book an operator who stays on site throughout, handles the content and the technology: about €62.50 net per day. It is ticked by default in the calculator because most people want it at an event, but you can remove it at any time — after the training, changing content from a USB stick or a phone takes five minutes. The other item is parking and loading help: the panels are heavy, the van must stop near the entrance, and a person from the venue is welcome for loading. If you can provide that there is no surcharge; if not, we handle it for a net surcharge of about €87.50. Setup and training are free in both cases — they are not an item but part of the service.

Example 1: Győr, 1 day, 5 panels, with operator

For a corporate event in Győr the largest, five-panel 320 × 192 cm video wall is booked for one day, with an operator. Rental fee: 5 panels × 1 day × about €75 = about €375 net. Delivery in Győr: none. Operator: 1 day × about €62.50 = about €62.50 net. Parking help is available at the venue, so no surcharge. Total about €437.50 net, plus 27 per cent Hungarian VAT. Without the operator, about €375 net.

Example 2: Budapest, 1 day, 3 panels, with operator

For the foyer of a Budapest conference a three-panel 192 × 192 cm square wall is booked for one day, with an operator. Rental fee: 3 panels × 1 day × about €75 = about €225 net. Delivery: 242 km there and back × about €0.50 × 1 trip = about €121 net. Operator: about €62.50 net. Parking help is available, no surcharge. Total about €408.50 net plus VAT. Without the operator the same is about €346 net — for that, a square LED wall that stays sharp in daylight is at a Budapest event all day.

Example 3: Pécs, 3 days, 5 panels, without operator

For a three-day exhibition in Pécs the largest, five-panel wall is booked as a stand backdrop, without an operator, because after the training the stand staff change the content themselves. Rental fee: 5 panels × 3 days × about €75 = about €1 125 net. Delivery: 602 km there and back × about €0.50 × 2 trips = about €602 net, because delivery and collection happen on two separate days with two separate trips. Operator: none. Parking help is available, no surcharge. Total about €1 727 net plus VAT. If there were no loading help on site, the surcharge of about €87.50 net would bring the total to about €1 814.50 net. This shows that at a distant venue delivery is a third of the total — which is exactly why we state it rather than hide it in the quote.

What makes it cheaper or more expensive?

Three things move the total. The first is the number of panels: this is linear, five panels are five times one. The second is distance: within 100 km, delivery for a one-day hire stays below about €100 net, while at 300 km it exceeds about €300 net for one trip, and doubles for multi-day hires. The third is the number of days: the rental fee repeats daily, but delivery only doubles once, so the average daily cost of a three-day hire is far lower than that of a one-day one. The practical advice follows: if the event runs two days, do not book two separate one-day hires but one two-day hire — the same two trips, but no second setup. And if a wall is needed for several days at a distant venue, it is worth thinking about whether hiring or buying pays off.

How does this compare with market prices?

On the Hungarian market event LED walls are typically priced per square metre; providers' public price articles mention roughly €20–62.50 net per square metre per day at the fixed conversion, for larger cabinet-based walls. One of our panels is 1.23 m², so the daily rate of about €75 net per panel falls in the upper part of that band — in return you get, in the P2 version, a fine 2 mm pixel pitch, a free-standing panel set up in a quarter of an hour, free setup and training, and delivery charged to the kilometre rather than as a flat fee. For an open-air event our own outdoor cabinet-built version goes out — P2.5 or P3 — and the indoor P1.5 for close viewing is available to rent too: those, and multi-week seasonal hires, are quoted individually, because the formula is different there.
