This 200×40 cm outdoor LED scrolling sign runs text on two lines and, with its IP65 rating, works dependably in rain, snow and blazing sun. The P5 pixel pitch and brightness of over 6,000 nits keep it legible even on an open public-facing site, in midday sun. The text on screen can be refreshed at any time from a Wi-Fi app, even from home – there is no need to go to the sign physically. With an operating range of -20°C to +60°C, no season of a full four-season climate causes it any trouble. The two lines can run two messages – for example an offer and the opening hours – at the same time, independently of one another.
LED scrolling sign 200×40 cm – two-line outdoor
The 200×40 cm version of the outdoor LED scrolling sign is made for shops and institutions that need a highly visible, continuously refreshable text advertisement on a building facade or in a retail car park. The two lines allow messages in a larger character size, and the built-in Wi-Fi module means the text can be refreshed at any time from a smartphone, without needing physical access to the unit. The sign is designed specifically for four seasons of weather: neither summer heat nor winter frost disturbs its operation. With two independently programmable lines, the operator can address two different audiences at once – a permanent strapline, say, and the current offer.

Outdoor durability and IP65 protection
Why does the IP65 rating matter?
An IP65 rating means the housing is fully dust-tight and its enclosure also resists strong jets of water. This outdoor LED scrolling sign works dependably from -20°C to +60°C, and the power supply and control electronics, sealed in a corrosion-resistant aluminium housing, are protected from precipitation and UV radiation. This level clearly separates a board genuinely designed for outdoor use from the cheaper, IP54-only builds that many people mistakenly fit to an exposed facade, only to have to replace them after a rainy season or two because of corrosion or condensation.
Wi-Fi remote control
How is the content refreshed remotely?
The built-in Wi-Fi module connects to a local network or a mobile hotspot. Through the free Android/iOS app the operator can change the scrolling text, the animation speed and the schedule at any time. It is particularly useful when several units are managed together – every display can be synchronised at the touch of a button. The interface is simple enough that anyone who can write an email on a phone will handle this text editing confidently after the initial training.
Quality and reliability outdoors
What guarantees this is not cheap throwaway import?
The P5 pixel-pitch modules are built with LED chips from a single production batch, so white, red or blue appears uniformly and without patches across the whole surface – one of the most telling differences between a quality board and a cheap one assembled from mixed batches. Expected service life is over 50,000 hours, which even at 12 hours of outdoor operation a day means 10+ years. In the event of a module fault, Korád-Trade's service backing and the P5 replacement modules held in stock mean there is no waiting weeks for an imported part – the swap is typically done within minutes.
Consumption and running cost
What does it cost to keep running?
A 200×40 cm two-line outdoor board at 6,000 nits draws an estimated 150–220 W at average brightness, and can go higher at peak (full brightness, in blazing sun). At 12–14 hours of operation a day that comes to roughly 55–90 kWh a month, which on most business tariffs is a modest monthly item – far less than the printing and replacement cost of a conventional illuminated sign. The price is not only the board: the mounting bracket and the installation are separate lines, and the free site survey gives an exact picture of those.
Typical applications
LED scrolling sign 200×40 cm – two-line outdoor — frequently asked questions
How much brightness does an outdoor LED scrolling sign need?
In direct sunlight at least 5,000–6,000 nits are needed for good legibility. This model delivers over 6,000 nits, so the text stays clearly readable even in midday sun.
Can this outdoor scrolling sign be wall-mounted?
Yes. The housing has pre-formed fixing points and a wall bracket is supplied. The aluminium housing weighs about 8–10 kg, so at least M8 anchors and a steel bracket are recommended.
Will it cope with hard winters and summer heatwaves?
Yes. The operating range of -20°C to +60°C covers the full seasonal spread of a temperate climate, and the IP65 housing also protects against snow, hail and prolonged rain.
What is the warranty, and what if a module fails?
Alongside the manufacturer's warranty, the expected service life of the LEDs is over 50,000 hours, corresponding to 10+ years at 12 hours of operation a day. If a module fails, the modular build means only the affected element needs replacing, which is typically done within minutes from parts held in stock.
Is consent needed to put up a board of this size?
Depending on the size and the position, yes – typically a planning notification or advertising consent from the local authority. After the site survey Korád-Trade also helps prepare the paperwork.
Can two separate messages run on it at the same time?
Yes. The two lines are programmed entirely independently, each with its own speed and effect, so a permanent strapline and a current offer can be shown at the same time.
