The 640×320 cm (around 20.5 m²) P5 outdoor LED video wall is a 1280×640 pixel, 7500 nit, IP65-rated display fitted with dual redundant power supplies and a redundant controller. Its recommended viewing distance of 15–50 metres matches the scale of stadiums, shopping centres and public spaces. Lifespan is 100,000 hours, installation takes 2–3 days, and the modules are front-serviceable, so a swap takes minutes.
Outdoor LED video wall P5 – 640×320 cm
The 640×320 cm configuration of the P5 outdoor LED video wall is one of the most widely used large-format outdoor LED display solutions on the market: a 6.4 × 3.2 metre surface makes an imposing impression as a stadium backdrop, on a shopping centre facade or in a public space. The dual power supply system and the redundant controller card make it the ideal choice for on-site applications where uptime is critical – sport, concerts, municipal events – because the picture does not go down even if one controller fails. The wall has a modular, front-serviceable build, which means replacing a failed element does not require breaking into the whole structure. Installation is always preceded by a site survey and structural calculation, and the handover ends with training.

Who this size is for, and what the viewing distance should be
The 640×320 cm P5 wall is for projects where the surface has to be impressive in scale and the audience genuinely stands 15–50 metres away: a backdrop beside a stadium stand, a shopping centre facade or a gathering point in a large public space. At that viewing distance the 5 mm pixel raster gives a perfectly sharp, continuous image and the pixel structure is not perceptible at all. For closer viewpoints, within 10–15 metres, it is worth choosing a denser P3 or P4 raster, while for greater distances – a roadside installation, for example – a P8 raster also comes into play.
Redundant system and uptime
What does a redundant controller mean on a LED video wall?
A dual controller card system means that if the primary card fails, the secondary card takes over automatically and without interruption. At live broadcasts, sports events and municipal events this operational security is a critical factor, because an outage during a live feed or in front of a full stand would do real reputational damage. The dual power supply follows the same principle on the electrical side, so no single component failure takes the whole surface down.
Mounting options and installation
How is the 640×320 cm outdoor LED video wall mounted?
It can be fixed to a wall-mounted steel structure, to a truss column or to a freestanding steel tower. Korád-Trade also carries out the structural calculation and the site survey before installation; both are free of charge and carry no obligation. The installation project usually takes 2–3 days, and the modules are a front maintenance design, so they can also be swapped from the front – particularly important on a building-mounted installation, where rear access does not have to be provided.
Quality, operation and payback
The modules are made from selected, bin-matched LED chips, which guarantees that a 20 square metre surface stays even for years without mismatched patches forming. We hold spare parts in stock with our own service team behind them, and a module can be replaced from the front in minutes. Control is through a simple application, and training is part of the handover – on a system running in front of a large audience it is especially important that the operating staff can start, change and schedule content confidently.
Typical applications
Outdoor LED video wall P5 – 640×320 cm — frequently asked questions
How much space has to be left behind a 640×320 cm LED video wall?
At least 60–80 cm of access space behind the wall is needed for servicing. The modules can also be replaced from the front (front maintenance design), which is a critical factor on a building-mounted installation.
Are there municipal installation references?
Yes, Korád-Trade has installed a number of municipal public-space LED displays. We provide a reference list and the option of an on-site demonstration after a quote request.
What happens if one controller card fails during a live broadcast?
The redundant control system hands over to the secondary card automatically and without interruption, so the picture does not drop out even during a live feed.
What is the warranty, and is there service backing?
We provide a manufacturer's warranty on the system, hold spare parts in regional stock and run our own service team; a module can be replaced from the front in minutes.
Is consent needed to install a wall of this size in a public space?
For a public-space or facade installation, a planning notification or consent from the local authority is generally required. We help with that process and with preparing the structural documentation.
Is the site survey free before a fixed installation?
Yes, every fixed installation is preceded by a free site survey and structural calculation before we issue a firm quote.
