The choice of pixel pitch depends above all on the intended viewing distance: if the audience typically views the wall from beyond 10 metres – from a motorway lane, a spacious car park or the far side of a large square – the P4 raster gives just as sharp, pixel-free an image as a denser P3 display, simply at a lower capital cost. That means the client achieves the same visual effect while the payback period works out more favourably.
