An outdoor LED poster display does the same job as an indoor one: a portrait, movable digital poster whose content can be changed in minutes. The difference lies in the brightness and the structure. This model works at 4,500–5,000 nits, roughly six times the 700–800 nits of the indoor versions, and that is the level at which the surface stays readable in a sunlit shop window, under a covered terrace or at an outdoor event. The build is a demountable cabinet one: not a folding frame, but a structure made up of separate cabinets, which makes transport, moving it on site and quick commissioning easier. The image area is 192 cm tall and 64 cm wide, that is 1.2288 m², and it is made up of 24 LED modules of 16 × 32 cm each, four modules wide and six modules tall — so a failed segment can be replaced on its own. With the wheeled base the total height is 201 cm, the width 66 cm, the base 45 × 66 cm and the weight 45 kg. Control is by a built-in unit over Wi-Fi, UTP or an audio port, and several units can be daisy-chained. The pixel pitch is P3, which means a coarser grid than that of the outdoor P2.5 model: this version was made for a greater viewing distance and is about €500 net cheaper in return.

Technical specifications
The manufacturer gives the same resolution for this model as for the outdoor P2.5. A 3 mm pixel pitch on the same 192 × 64 cm image area would, by our own calculation, give 213 × 640 pixels, so we regard the figure as contradictory. We obtain it from the manufacturer in writing on a quote request, and until then we build no calculation on it.
On a 230 volt supply that is 828 W (calculated) — a standard 16 amp socket circuit copes with it.
P3 or outdoor P2.5? — the viewing distance and about €500 net
When the coarser grid is worth it
The mechanics, brightness, weight and control of the two outdoor models are identical; they differ in one thing only, the pixel pitch — and that is where the price difference comes from. This P3 version is about €1,740 net; the outdoor P2.5 is about €2,240 net. The difference is about €500 net (all figures indicative and exclusive of VAT). The decision turns on the real viewing distance. The pixel pitch in millimetres roughly gives the distance in metres from which the content reads comfortably: for the P3 that is about 3 metres, for the P2.5 about 2.5 metres; for the grid not to be perceptible at all, roughly twice that is needed. If the surface stands at the edge of a pavement, faces a car park, sits at the entrance to a site or at an outdoor event, where the viewers are beyond 3 to 4 metres and are moving as well, then the P3 is exactly enough, and the money saved can go into content production or a second unit. If, on the other hand, the surface stands behind a narrow shop window or beside an entrance where passers-by walk within arm's reach, the finer grid of the P2.5 makes a visible difference.
Why brightness decides outdoors, not resolution
4,500–5,000 nits versus 700–800 nits
This is the most expensive mistake in the category, so it is worth saying plainly: the difference between an indoor and an outdoor LED poster display is primarily not pixel density but brightness and structure. The indoor models give 700–800 nits, which is more than enough in an enclosed space — in the evening you even have to turn it down. The same surface in a south- or west-facing shop window, where sunlight falls on the glass, looks washed out at midday. That is why the outdoor build works at 4,500–5,000 nits, roughly a sixfold figure. Selling a device with indoor brightness into a sunlit position is not a cheaper solution but a wasted investment. The structure differs too: the indoor versions fold, while this model has a demountable cabinet build, which makes transport and handling on site easier.
What the manufacturer states, and what it does not
The open question of the IP rating and the resolution
There are two figures we deliberately do not write down here. One is the ingress protection rating: the manufacturer's data sheet gives no IP rating for this outdoor version either, so we do not invent one. What we can say responsibly: the brightness of this build was made for shop window and outdoor use, and the specific conditions of the position — direct rain, permanent outdoor standing, winter operation — we clarify at the site survey and set out in writing in the quote. The other is the resolution. For this P3 model the manufacturer's data sheet gives the same 256 × 768 pixel figure as for the outdoor P2.5, even though a 3 mm pitch on the same 192 × 64 cm surface would, by our own calculation, give 213 × 640 pixels. We do not smooth over that contradiction: on a quote request we obtain the exact figure from the manufacturer in writing. What we do know for certain: P3 means a coarser grid than P2.5, so it is made for a greater viewing distance.
Installation, power and moving it
The 201 cm, the 45 kg and the 3.6 A in practice
The poster display is 201 cm tall including the castors, 66 cm wide, and weighs 45 kg. Because of the height it is worth measuring the access route in advance — door height, thresholds, stair turns, turning into a lift. On a flat floor one person can push the 45 kg on its castors, but lifting it, carrying it up stairs or loading it into a vehicle is a two-person job. The power demand is modest: the manufacturer's maximum is 3.6 A, which at 230 V is 828 W (calculated), so a single unit runs on a standard 16 amp socket circuit — no separate feed and no three-phase supply is needed. Maximum monthly consumption at 10 operating hours a day is 240 kWh (calculated ceiling); that is the upper limit, reckoned with an all-white image at full brightness, and real consumption is lower. Content is uploaded through the built-in control unit, over Wi-Fi or a UTP network cable; we set up the control software on site at installation, and training is part of the handover.
What is in the price, and what costs extra
The price is about €1,740 net (indicative, excluding VAT); related to the 1.2288 m² image area that is about €1,410 net/m² (calculated) — we work that measure out so that it can be compared with any other LED solution. Included in the price: the finished cabinet-build LED poster display, delivery to your address, on-site installation of the control software, operator training and the manufacturer's full warranty; the manufacturer also records that the system is built by a licensed electrical engineering instructor. There is one separate item: the wheeled storage and transport case, at a premium of about €250 net — we have a separate product page about that. What is not in the price: producing the content, ongoing content management, and any electrical or installation work if there is no usable outdoor-rated socket at the desired point. We clarify these at the site survey before we issue a quote.
Who we do not recommend it to
There are three cases in which we honestly talk people out of it. If the surface stays indoors only, 4,500–5,000 nits is both unnecessary and intrusive: at indoor light levels it dazzles, and the indoor P2.5 version gives the same image area at about €1,630 net, some €115 net less. If viewers look at the picture from within two metres for sustained periods, a P3 grid is noticeable at that distance — there the outdoor P2.5 is the right choice, and indoors the P2 GOB or the P1.5 GOB. And if the aim is permanent, 24-hour placement in a public space, two things need reckoning with: a wheeled base is not a fixing, and putting up an advertising medium in a public space can be subject to a planning notification or consent. That is an administrative rather than a technical question, but it materially affects the timing of the project.

Does it need a separate circuit?
Not for one unit: the manufacturer's maximum is 3.6 A, which at 230 V is 828 W (calculated), and a standard 16 amp circuit copes with that. With several units it does matter, though: the theoretical 18 A peak of five panels already calls for two separate circuits.
What is the warranty, and can a faulty module be replaced?
The manufacturer's data sheet promises a full warranty without stating a specific duration — so we do not write a number of years down; that is set out in the quote and the contract. The surface is built from 24 modules of 16 × 32 cm each, so a failed segment can be replaced on its own rather than the whole display.
