Trbovlje is the heart of the Zasavje coal basin, a narrow industrial valley whose most visible landmark is the power station chimney, for years the tallest structure of its kind in Europe. The town has an unusual cultural weight for its size, having produced one of the country's best-known art movements and sustaining a new media festival that draws an international audience to a former mining town. Its civic life runs through the workers' hall and the sports facilities, and its business events belong to energy, engineering and the companies that succeeded the mines. A single unit occupies 64 centimetres of floor, five occupy 320, and everything in between rises in the same increment. Zasavje rooms tend to be long and low rather than tall, which favours narrow configurations. A media programme in a former industrial building is often best served by one tall panel or two apart from each other, letting the space itself remain visible. Where the audience is seated and looking at figures, the four-panel face at 1280 by 960 pixels handles a slide deck without letterboxing anything.

The quote has two lines. Driving is charged on the whole return route at 50 cents net a kilometre, giving 371 EUR net for a booking of one day. The screen is 75 EUR net per panel per day when the panel is the stocked indoor P2; a different build changes that line alone, by agreement before the booking. Guide amounts, net of tax: one panel for a day 446 EUR; two 521 EUR; three 596 EUR; five 746 EUR. Keep three panels for two days and the total is 1,192 EUR, or 1,492 EUR for five, since a hire past one day sends the van out and home twice over. One of our people staying at the screen adds 63 EUR net per person daily.

No truss, no ballast — and a sealed version for outside
An indoor panel is 64 centimetres wide and 192 tall, showing 320 by 960 pixels at a 2 millimetre pitch in the P2, closer on the P1.5 and wider on the P2.5. It stands on its own feet with nothing suspended and nothing counterweighted, and it takes its power from a normal wall socket. Two people carry one through a standard doorway. In a former mining building or a valley sports hall that is often the difference between a screen being installable and not. The van delivers panels, feet, player and controller; on arrival we build the set, connect it, set the picture and hand the controls to your own team before leaving. Where the event moves outside — a festival stage in the valley, a civic occasion in front of the workers' hall — the indoor housing is the wrong one, and we bring a cabinet-built outdoor P2.5 or P3 instead. Those are sealed against rain and bright enough for daylight, and they are part of the hire fleet rather than only of what we manufacture.
