Hiring an LED wall for a Novo mesto event means, with us, hiring LED poster panels. Each is 64 by 192 centimetres, 320 by 960 pixels, stands unaided and couples sideways into a run of up to five. Three indoor pitches cover training rooms, canteens and conference suites; two cabinet-built outdoor versions cover a plant forecourt or a summer stage on the Krka. One indoor P2 panel for one day is 75 EUR net and the drive is billed on genuine road kilometres from Győr, while the other four builds are priced for the individual booking. Delivery, assembly, picture setup, a free briefing and removal are all inside that.

Slovenia 392 km from our plant in Győr

Novo mesto is a company town in the best sense. The pharmaceutical group Krka and the Revoz car plant between them shape the working life of the whole Dolenjska region, and with them come the events that a hire company actually sees: supplier conferences, quality days, research presentations, plant anniversaries and recruitment fairs. Most of these happen on company premises, in training centres and canteens rather than in commercial venues, and the organiser is usually a communications or HR team with a fixed budget and a room that has to be back in normal use the next morning. The historic centre on its loop of the Krka provides the cultural counterweight, with the Situla finds in the local museum and a summer programme along the river. Novo mesto is 392 road kilometres from our depot in Győr, around four and a half hours of motorway driving.

How wide should the set be, and in which version

Five options, all 192 centimetres from floor to top

Width goes up in 64 centimetre steps. A single panel is 64 by 192 centimetres at 320 by 960 pixels; two reach 128; three make an exact 192 by 192 square with 960 by 960 pixels; four give 256 centimetres in a 4:3 shape; five arrive at 320 centimetres and 1600 by 960 pixels. A plant training centre is usually a long, low room, and two panels flanking the speaker read better there than one wide surface behind. Research and quality presentations lean towards four, because dense slides need the 4:3 frame. Recruitment fairs do well with a single panel at the stand entrance, where people pass at walking speed. Alongside the width sits the version. The three indoor pitches differ only in how tightly the pixels sit, and therefore in how near somebody may stand: P1.5 for a display read at arm's length, P2 for the standard case, P2.5 where the room is deep. The two outdoor versions are a separate construction, housed in sealed cabinets, and they are the ones we send when the event has moved out of the building.

Getting content onto it

Prepared files or a live laptop

Stills go on as JPG or PNG and video as MP4, carried across on a USB stick or pushed from a phone through the controller app. For anything live, a laptop plugs into the controller over HDMI and drives the surface directly, which covers slides, a browser or a camera feed. We hand the controls to your own people before leaving. That takes about five minutes and appears nowhere on the invoice. Given a four and a half hour road distance, a team that can change a file itself is worth considerably more to you than a promise that we could return. We stay on the phone for the full hire.

Novo mesto pricing

784 kilometres of return driving

The travel line is 392 EUR net on a single-day booking, being the full return distance at 50 cents net a kilometre. Panel hire is 75 EUR net for each panel on each day when the panel is the indoor P2 from stock; every other version carries a figure we agree before the booking, with the same driving terms. Guide totals, net of tax: one panel for a day 467 EUR, two 542 EUR, three 617 EUR, five 767 EUR. Across two days, three panels reach 1,234 EUR and five panels 1,534 EUR, since a longer hire needs a delivery run and a separate collection run. Leaving one of our people with the screen adds 63 EUR net per person daily, and an address with no help at load-in adds 88 EUR net once.

When a Slovenian supplier is the better answer

Reading a 392 EUR transport line honestly

For one panel on one evening in Novo mesto, 392 of the 467 EUR is the drive. Ljubljana is an hour away and has plenty of rental companies, so on that job they win, and we would rather write it down than argue it later. The balance changes on three kinds of booking. A hire across several days spreads the two journeys thinly. A five-panel set pushes the weight onto the panel rate. And a Dolenjska company running an event in Hungary, which happens more often than you might think in this supply chain, gets the same equipment with the drive reduced to almost nothing.
