Litija stands on the Sava between Ljubljana and the Zasavje valleys, in a stretch of river gorge that has been mined since Roman times, first for lead and later for mercury and barite. The town's cultural anchors lie just outside it, chiefly Bogenšperk castle, the seat where Valvasor compiled his great survey of Carniola in the seventeenth century, which now hosts weddings, concerts and museum events. Litija itself runs a municipal calendar in the cultural centre and sports hall, alongside the meetings and staff occasions of the manufacturing and logistics companies along the valley road. Screens then cost 75 EUR net for each panel on each day of the hire, which is the published rate for the indoor P2; the other four builds are agreed individually and change nothing else in the calculation. That produces, as guides net of tax, 459 EUR for one panel across a day, 534 EUR for a pair, 609 EUR for the square trio and 759 EUR for the whole row. Choosing how wide to go, and which build
Five sizes, height fixed at 192 centimetres
Every configuration is built from the same unit. One panel gives 320 by 960 pixels across 64 centimetres; two give 640 pixels across 128; three give 960 across 192, which is an exact square; four give 1280 across 256; five give 1600 across 320 centimetres. A castle wedding or a concert usually wants one panel or the square trio, since the room itself is the reason people came. A works meeting in a valley hall reads better on four, where the 4:3 face takes a slide deck whole. Five want depth that most local venues do not have. After the width comes the build. Indoors the pitch follows the nearest viewer, from the P1.5 at arm's length to the P2.5 in a deep hall. Outdoors — the castle courtyard, a start area by the river, a summer fixture — the indoor housings are unusable and we send a sealed outdoor cabinet, quoted for the day rather than taken from the list rate.

One LED poster stands 192 centimetres tall and 64 wide, occupying the ground of a printed sign while showing a sequence that can change through the day. At a castle event it carries a welcome; at a sports fixture a graphic; at a company evening a title and a logo. It runs from one socket, attaches to nothing and is managed by a single person after the briefing. In Litija a lone panel for one day comes to about 459 EUR net including the drive, and two placed at separate entrances to 534 EUR net.

For one screen on one evening in Litija, 384 of the 459 EUR total is the road. Ljubljana is forty minutes down the valley with a crowded rental market, so that job belongs to them and we would rather say so at the outset. We become worth asking when a hire runs several days and the two journeys divide across all of them; when the set is five panels rather than one; and when a Litija company is holding its event in Hungary, at which point our transport line becomes the smallest number on the quote instead of the largest.
