Kamnik lies at the foot of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, half an hour north of Ljubljana, with a compact medieval centre beneath the rock of the Mali grad and the Kamniška Bistrica running through it. The town's public calendar leans strongly on tradition, with the national costume festival each September drawing visitors from across the country, and on the outdoors, since it is the gateway to the Velika planina highland and a base for alpine tourism. Business events come from the light industry along the valley and from the hotel and tourism operators, and they use the cultural centre, hotel function rooms and restored buildings in the old town. Stills go on as JPG or PNG, moving material as MP4, from a USB stick or through the controller app on a phone. When the content is live rather than prepared, a laptop connects over HDMI and drives the surface directly. Before we leave, your own people take over. That briefing runs about five minutes and never reaches the invoice. It covers swapping a file, attaching a laptop and what to do if the source cuts out. Our phone stays open for the whole hire, which for a weekend festival is generally the entire support arrangement anybody uses.

Transport comes to 398 EUR net for a one-day booking, being the full return route at half a euro net per kilometre. Every panel adds 75 EUR net for every day of the hire at the indoor P2 rate we publish, and a job built on another version replaces that figure alone. Guide totals, net: one panel for a day 473 EUR; two 548 EUR; three 623 EUR; five 773 EUR. Take three panels across two days and it is 1,246 EUR, five panels 1,546 EUR, because delivery and collection become separate runs once a hire passes a single day. A technician kept with the set is 63 EUR net per person per day, and an address with no help at load-in draws one 88 EUR net addition.
The route and the last hundred metres
Four and a half hours, then a narrow street
The drive from Győr runs on motorway almost the whole way, turning off north of Ljubljana for the final approach. Hungary and Slovenia share Schengen membership and the euro, so neither a border stop nor a currency conversion has to be planned for. What does need planning is access to the old town. Streets there are narrow and often stepped, so we agree the route and the delivery window with the venue before quoting. Panels are carried by hand, two people to a unit, which is exactly why a historic centre remains workable for this format when a truss system would not be.
