Guide figures, all net: one panel for a day 498 EUR, two 573 EUR, three 648 EUR, five 798 EUR. Stretch the same three panels over two days and the total is 1,296 EUR, since the van now makes two separate returns rather than one; five panels over the same two days come to 1,596 EUR, and three panels over three days to 1,521 EUR. Choosing between the five widths — and the five builds

One panel: 64 by 192 centimetres, 320 by 960 pixels. Two: 128 centimetres. Three: a true square of 192 by 192 at 960 by 960 pixels. Four: 256 centimetres in the 4:3 shape that slide decks were drawn for. Five: 320 centimetres and 1600 by 960 pixels, effectively widescreen. A training room on a Kranj industrial estate is usually wide and low, and two panels either side of the speaker beat one broad surface behind. A Gorenjska hotel conference tends to want four, because the content is slides. The square set is what we suggest when the brief is still open. Running underneath that choice is a second one. The indoor pitches differ only in how near a viewer may stand — half a metre for the P1.5, a couple of metres for the P2, more for the P2.5 — while the two outdoor versions are a different construction altogether, cabinet-housed so they can spend a February morning in the old town square without being tented over.

One panel, one day, Kranj: 498 EUR net, and more than four fifths of that is diesel and hours. A Slovenian supplier based near Ljubljana will undercut us on that job without trying. We would rather write it here than let you discover it in a quotation. The reverse holds in three situations. Long bookings dilute the two journeys across every day. Bigger sets tip the balance towards panel hire, where our rate is straightforward. And Slovenian companies exhibiting or presenting in Hungary get the identical equipment with the travel line reduced to almost nothing, which is where most of our cross-border work actually comes from.
