A professional 16:9 outdoor LED video wall built from 28 cabinets, optimised specifically for moving image and video content. Its rental-style modular build makes it excellent for events, live broadcasts and permanent installation alike. The classic widescreen ratio matches film and streamed content natively, without distortion. The quick-lock cabinets can be built and struck by an experienced crew in half a day, which is a key consideration for event hire. Average consumption works out at around 262 W/m², which also makes planning generator power for a live broadcast predictable.
Outdoor LED video wall P3 – 2.6 × 4.48 m (11.5 m²)
The 2.6 × 4.48 metre video wall is built from 28 precision cabinets, sized specifically so that the widescreen 16:9 ratio appears natively, without black bars or distortion. This rental-style modular construction was originally developed for event production use, so it is easy to assemble, quick to strike and easy to transport, yet it also stands up as a permanent outdoor installation. It is an excellent choice for live broadcasts, concerts, screening sports events and brand communication alike. For event hire this product matters particularly, because organisers often only firm up their requirement days before the event – which makes a quick-build cabinet set held in stock a direct commercial advantage, not merely a technical convenience.

Why 16:9 and why a video wall
Most video content – commercials, live broadcasts, social media video – is produced in a 16:9 ratio. If the display is not built in that ratio, the content is either distorted or shown with black bars, which spoils the overall effect. This 28-cabinet wall is the answer to precisely that problem: it is natively 16:9, so any standard video content appears pixel-accurately and fills the surface completely. The rental-style build also means the cabinets connect to each other with quick locks, which considerably simplifies both assembly and any later extension or relocation.
Events and permanent installation in one
Although the construction has event production roots, the wall is equally suitable for a permanent outdoor installation – on the facade of a stadium, a shopping centre or a car dealership, for example. For a live broadcast, quick assembly and strike are a major advantage, while in a permanent installation the robust, IP65-rated cabinets guarantee long-term, low-maintenance operation. In both cases control is through the same Wi-Fi/LAN based system, which handles live signal feeds, pre-uploaded video content and scheduled playback alike.
Why the cabinets a video wall is built from matter
In event hire the cabinets are moved, packed and assembled far more often than on a permanent facade wall, so mechanical reliability and colour matching are especially critical here. All our cabinets are made with LED chips from the same production batch and pass individual quality control before every build, so that no visible brightness or colour difference between two cabinets shows up at a given event. We regularly maintain and test the quick-lock cabinets in the warehouse and keep the most common parts in stock, so that an element damaged in transit does not disrupt the day of the event.
Control during a live broadcast and at events
During a live broadcast the operator often has to switch between camera source, prepared graphics and captions within seconds – which is why we designed the control system so that this can be done in a few clicks, without a technical crew. Training is part of the handover and, with event organisers, often extends to going live on site, where our team is present for the first few occasions. Because average consumption is around 262 W/m², planning generator or temporary power is also predictable in advance, with no surprises on site.
Typical applications
Outdoor LED video wall P3 – 2.6 × 4.48 m (11.5 m²) — frequently asked questions
How does this wall differ from the other P3 products?
Both the aspect ratio and the build are optimised for video use: the 28 cabinets make up exactly a 16:9 ratio, and the rental-style quick-lock fixing makes it easier to assemble and strike than a conventional permanent facade wall.
Is it suitable for screening a live broadcast?
Yes, the wall is prepared for live signal feeds, so it is excellent for the outdoor screening of live broadcasts from concerts, sports events or other events, whether from a camera signal or streamed content.
Can it also be used as a permanent outdoor installation?
Yes. Although the build has event production roots, the cabinets are IP65-rated and just as durable as our walls intended for permanent installation, so it can be operated long term even when built onto a facade.
Can it be hired for a short, one-day event?
Yes, this is our most sought-after hire configuration for event production use. The quick-lock cabinets can be built and struck in half a day, so it fits one-day events, concerts and conferences well.
Who handles the content during a live broadcast – is a technician needed?
We developed the control system so that basic operation requires no video technician's training – and training is part of the handover. For larger, multi-camera live broadcasts one of our own specialists can be present on site on request.
