Šempeter sits immediately south of Nova Gorica, on the flat ground running down to the Vipava and against the Italian border at Vrtojba. It is the location of the regional hospital, which gives it a substantial medical and academic strand of conferences and training events, and it hosts a business and logistics zone that grew up around the crossing. The Goriška region as a whole trades heavily across the frontier, so events here often involve participants and companies from both countries, and the calendar mixes municipal occasions, sporting fixtures and corporate meetings held in hospital facilities, hotels and company premises. None of these venues have rigging provision. The equipment and what it needs

Each unit is 64 centimetres across and 192 high, with 320 by 960 pixels and two millimetres between them in the indoor P2. The P1.5 draws them closer for a display read at a desk; the P2.5 spaces them for a lecture theatre where nobody sits near the surface. In all three the weight sits on the feet, so nothing is suspended, drilled or counterweighted, and the whole set runs from a domestic socket. The other two versions are sealed cabinets at P2.5 and P3 pitch, and they exist for a position without a roof — a hospital open day held in the grounds, a sports fixture, a summer event by the crossing. Two people lift an indoor panel and it clears a standard doorway. In a hospital lecture room or a training suite, where the fabric is not to be touched and infection control governs what may be brought in, the absence of structure is what makes a screen straightforward. We bring panels, feet, player, controller and leads, and take everything away at the end.
One panel by itself
For a lecture room door or a registration point
The smallest order we take is a single panel, and in a medical or academic setting it is frequently the right one. Standing where a printed board would, it carries a session programme, a title, or a rolling set of notices, and changes them in seconds. One person runs it after the briefing, which matters where the person minding a registration desk is not a technician. In Šempeter a lone panel for a day comes to roughly 587 EUR net including the drive, and a pair at two positions to 662 EUR net.

1,024 kilometres of return driving
Two components, and the larger one is the road. A return run of 1,024 kilometres billed at fifty cents net comes to 512 EUR before anything is switched on, and each panel then adds 75 EUR net for each day it stays, at the published rate of the indoor P2. Where the event calls for one of the other four builds, that panel line is set in the offer and the road figure is untouched. Added up, net of tax: a lone unit across a day 587 EUR, a pair 662 EUR, three 737 EUR, the whole row 887 EUR. A second day changes only the travelling, since it now happens twice, so three panels sit at 1,474 EUR and five at 1,774 EUR. At 512 EUR of driving, a one-panel single-day job here is not one we would expect to win against a supplier in Ljubljana or across the border in Friuli. That is simply what six hours of road costs, and there is no way to dress it differently. What does suit us is a programme that already crosses borders, which describes a great deal of what happens in this area. A conference with sessions on both sides, a company with sites in more than one country, or a week-long event all favour a single supplier and a single set of equipment travelling once.
