LED screen hire for Postojna and the karst region. The panels are 64 by 192 centimetres and 320 by 960 pixels, portrait and free-standing, joining sideways into sets of up to five, in three indoor pitches plus two sealed cabinet versions for use in the open. Postojna is defined by what lies beneath it. The cave system is among the most visited natural attractions in Europe, and with Predjama Castle nearby it gives a small karst town a visitor economy and a conference capacity considerably larger than its population would suggest. The concert hall inside the cave itself hosts events that no other venue can offer, and the hotels above ground handle the associated conferences, incentive programmes and corporate receptions. Around that runs an ordinary Notranjska calendar of municipal events, sporting occasions and the meetings of the logistics and manufacturing companies along the motorway corridor. The karst setting brings its own constraints, chiefly humidity and temperature underground, and a strict regime governing what may be brought into the protected cave environment. Postojna is 466 road kilometres from our depot in Győr, around five and a half hours of motorway.
The run across Slovenia
Five and a half hours, no frontier, one currency
The route leaves Győr, crosses into Slovenia and follows the motorway south-west towards the coast, turning off at Postojna. Both countries are Schengen members and both use the euro, so neither a border stop nor a conversion enters the planning. At this distance we travel the day before an early build rather than overnight, and the loading window is agreed with the venue at quotation stage. For anything involving the cave complex we ask about access rules well in advance, since what may be taken underground is decided by the site rather than by us.
How wide to make it, and in which build
Five sizes, height always 192 centimetres
Widths climb by one panel at a time and the height never moves. A single unit covers 64 by 192 centimetres at 320 by 960 pixels; a pair spans 128; a trio squares up at 192 by 192 with 960 by 960 pixels; four make a 256 centimetre face in 4:3; the full row measures 320 centimetres and 1600 by 960 pixels. An incentive reception in a hotel above the cave usually wants three, since the square set gives a strong image without walling off a room designed for circulation. A conference with slide content is better on four. One panel does the whole job at a registration point or beside an entrance where guests are arriving in a stream. The build follows the position rather than the size. Hotels and halls take an indoor panel, its pitch chosen by how near guests come to the surface. A welcome point outside the cave entrance, or an evening programme in the grounds, takes a sealed outdoor cabinet — the same format, a different housing, and a price set for the event.

932 kilometres of return route
The driving is fixed at 466 EUR net on a one-day booking, from 932 return kilometres charged at fifty cents each. Screen hire then runs at 75 EUR net for each panel on each day at the indoor P2 list rate, and nothing else is added; where another build is used, its panel figure is settled before the booking and the transport arithmetic is unchanged. That yields, as guides net of tax, 541 EUR for one panel over a day, 616 EUR for two, 691 EUR for three and 841 EUR for five. Move to two days and the trio reaches 1,382 EUR while five panels reach 1,682 EUR, the increase reflecting a second run out and back. Our own technician stays for 63 EUR net a day; where the van cannot be assisted at the door, one 88 EUR net addition applies.
Whether the drive makes sense
466 EUR of transport, looked at squarely
A single panel for one Postojna day totals 541 EUR net, of which the drive is 466 EUR. Ljubljana is under an hour away and its rental market is competitive, so on a small single-day job they will win. That is the plain position. We become the sensible call on incentive programmes running several days, where the two journeys divide across the whole period; on larger sets; and when a company with Hungarian operations is bringing guests here as part of a wider itinerary, since one hire can then cover dates in both countries.
