This page is written for a buyer who will send our drawing to somebody who checks it. We manufacture fixed LED walls in Győr and install them ourselves; Ajdovščina lies 496 road kilometres away, which is the longest leg in our Slovenian programme and shapes both the schedule and the quotation. Ajdovščina is an engineering town before it is anything else. It grew at the point where the Hubelj leaves the Trnovo plateau and meets the Lokavšček, the Roman fort of Castra left a walled outline that the modern street plan still follows, and the industrial belt along Tovarniška cesta and Goriška cesta carries names that buy technical goods on technical terms - Pipistrel, Fructal, Mlinotest, Tekstina. For a permanently mounted display that matters twice over: the customers here read a specification properly, and the site itself imposes a load case that most Slovenian towns do not.
Wind load as the first line of the specification
What the burja does to a flat plate
A display is a rigid rectangle presented broadside to the air, and the burja arrives in gusts rather than as a steady pressure, which is the harder case for a fixing. The severity here is not folklore: the Slovenian record gust of 212.4 km/h was recorded on the Lozice viaduct on the Vipava valley expressway in 2014, and the whole corridor between Nanos and Ajdovščina is exposed enough that the road authority closes it to high-sided vehicles several times each winter. We do not publish a single wind figure for our frames, because a truthful one does not exist independently of the site. The design value comes from the national annex to the Eurocode for wind actions applied to your address, your height above ground and your exposure, and the frame and anchors are then sized by a structural engineer against that value. What we supply is the input for that calculation: the projected area, the mass, the fixing pattern and the loads each anchor transmits. Anyone quoting a facade wall here without that step is selling you a repair bill.
Module grid and the finished rectangle
Multiples of 32 and 16, decided before the drawing
The building block is a landscape module 32 centimetres wide and 16 centimetres high, and it is not divisible. Width therefore comes in 32 centimetre increments and height in 16, so the achievable sizes form a list. A gable panel of roughly four metres by one and three quarters becomes twelve columns by eleven rows - 384 by 176 centimetres - and the difference between that and the number in the original sketch is taken up by the surround. On an industrial elevation this is rarely a problem, because the cladding grid is generous and a frame can be sized to suit. It becomes awkward on the older buildings near the town centre, where an opening is fixed and the remainder has to go somewhere visible. We resolve it on the drawing with you, before the panel order is placed, since a wall is manufactured to the agreed rectangle and cannot be adjusted on site.

A hangar, a visitor route and a car park need three different answers
Pitch should be chosen from the shortest distance at which someone regularly looks at the surface. In an assembly hall or a training room where staff stand close to the screen and read drawings, part numbers or process data from it, the useful band is P1.5 to P2.5, and anything coarser turns fine detail into a suggestion. Along a visitor route or in a reception area with a five to ten metre viewing range, P2.5 to P4 is the sensible band and the price difference against a finer pitch is substantial. A surface read from a yard, from a car park or from the approach road runs at P4 to P8, and at that distance a finer pitch is money spent on pixels nobody can resolve. We ask for the two distances - nearest regular viewer and furthest intended viewer - and specify from the first of them.
Daylight brightness and ingress protection
IP65 and 4500 to 5500 nits for a valley that is bright and dusty
Outdoor cabinets are sealed to IP65 and run at 4500 to 5500 nits. The valley gets a great deal of direct sun, and a south-facing surface here loses a contest with daylight much earlier in the morning than the same panel would in a shaded courtyard. Under-specifying the brightness class is the failure we are asked to fix most often, and it cannot be corrected by turning the panel up. The sealing has a second job in this particular place. Dry burja days lift a great deal of dust off the valley floor and drive it horizontally into every seam and vent, so an enclosure that would be adequate in still air is not adequate here. IP65 means the housing is closed against that as well as against rain, and it is why we do not offer a semi-sealed outdoor build as a cheaper option.
The rolling LED poster and its four builds
P1.5 GOB, P2 GOB, P2.5 indoor and P2.5 outdoor cabinet on one chassis
The free-standing LED poster comes in four specifications on the identical wheeled chassis, which is unusually convenient when a single company buys for several different positions. P1.5 GOB and P2 GOB use a glue-on-board surface that tolerates being knocked, wheeled and touched - the right choice for a showroom or a reception where the public gets close to it. P2.5 indoor is the economical build for a hall or a canteen where nobody stands within arm's reach. P2.5 outdoor is a cabinet build, weatherproofed and driven at 4500 to 5000 nits so that it holds an image on a forecourt in full sun. For a manufacturer on Tovarniška cesta that combination solves a real procurement problem. The same base, the same controller and the same content workflow serve the visitor entrance, the canteen and the gate, so one person learns one system instead of three, and a unit can be moved between them when a department's needs change. None of the four requires a fitter: they arrive on a pallet, are wheeled into place and plugged in, which is worth a great deal when the alternative is a crew driving 496 kilometres to hang something on a wall.

Two trips, itemised travel, and the annex for a permit file
This is the far end of our range, so a mounted installation is organised as two separate journeys: a survey visit that measures the structure, the supply and the access, and a fitting visit with a preparation day and accommodation. Travel and the crew's daily allowance are shown as their own entries in the offer rather than being absorbed into the rate per square metre, so you can weigh the border against the rest of the price with your eyes open. The warranty term - twelve or twenty-four months - is settled at contract stage and reserve modules are packed with every delivery, which for a site this far out is the difference between a five-minute swap and a week of waiting. Where a permit is needed for an external display, we contribute the technical annex and nothing else: we do not conduct the procedure and we make no representation about its result.
