How do I order a light box sign with my own logo?
When ordering you need to supply your company's logo in vector form (AI, EPS or PDF) and the wording you want. The Korád-Trade design team prepares the print-ready artwork free of charge and sends it for approval. Lead time for a bespoke build is 7–10 working days. During the approval process the customer can see a digital visualisation of exactly how the finished sign will look on the facade before manufacturing starts.
Durability and maintenance
What is the service life of a LED light box sign?
The internal LED strips have a 50,000-hour life, and the aluminium box and the acrylic panel have a UV-resistant coating. In a normal climate you can expect 5–8 years of maintenance-free running. The printed acrylic panel can be replaced if required without taking the whole sign down. That means a rebrand or a change of opening hours does not call for a new sign — only the panel concerned has to be swapped.
Why this is not cheap throwaway import
The light box sign is the most widespread of all, which is exactly why most of the shoddy versions in circulation — the ones that yellow quickly or light unevenly — fall into this category. We avoid that by fitting only quality LED strips that have passed our own quality control and share the same batch white colour temperature, so the illumination stays even across the whole face of the sign, with no yellowish or bluish patches. The aluminium housing and the acrylic panel are made from UV-stabilised material, which prevents the colour fading and the acrylic crazing even years later.
Simple to run
A light box sign could hardly be simpler to operate: a single mains connection, optionally with photocell or timer automation that switches the sign on at dusk and off at dawn. No app and no software are involved, so anyone who can work a light switch can run it. At 25–30 W, even 10–12 hours of operation a day comes to only 8–11 kWh a month, a negligible item on most businesses' utility bills against the advertising value.

What file format should the logo be sent in?
Vector AI, EPS or PDF is best. An image file (JPG, PNG) is also accepted, but at a minimum resolution of 300 DPI so that the printed graphic stays sharp.
Can I see a sample design before ordering?
Yes — before the order is placed we produce a free digital visualisation showing exactly how the illuminated sign will look in reality. Manufacturing begins once it is approved.
Will the IP54 sign run safely outdoors, in the rain?
In a covered outdoor position — under a canopy, for example — yes: IP54 protects the electronics from dust and splashing water. For an open location directly exposed to rain we recommend a version with a higher IP rating.
Who installs the sign, and how long does it take to make?
Installation is carried out by our own fitting team, which for a sign this size is typically a half-day job; together with the 7–10 working day lead time the whole process runs to 2–3 weeks.
