LED wall hire for Sisak, using kit that suits ordinary rooms rather than purpose-built halls — and, for a county fair in an open field, kit that suits that instead. Each panel is 64 by 192 centimetres, 320 by 960 pixels, portrait, standing without any structure, and up to five join into one face. Indoors there are three pitches to choose from, P1.5, P2 and P2.5; outdoors, two sealed cabinet versions at P2.5 and P3. A panel-day costs 75 EUR net on the indoor P2 kept in stock, with the drive charged on the real return distance and the other builds quoted per job. Assembly, picture setup, a free staff briefing and the collection are all included.

Croatia · 360 km from our plant in Győr

Sisak stands where the Kupa joins the Sava, and it has been an industrial town since the ironworks and the refinery arrived in the twentieth century. That heritage still shapes the local event calendar: works anniversaries, safety and training days, union meetings and long-service ceremonies held in company halls, the town's cultural centre and hotel function rooms. The old fortress at the river confluence carries the public and historical programme, and the surrounding Sisak-Moslavina county adds agricultural fairs and municipal occasions through the year. The 2020 earthquake left its mark on the building stock, which means a number of venues are newer or temporary and few have anything worth rigging from. Sisak is 360 road kilometres from our depot in Győr, roughly four hours by motorway through Zagreb, and the whole route is inside Schengen and the eurozone.

Starting from a single panel

The order most Sisak enquiries turn out to need

One LED poster is 64 centimetres across and 192 tall, occupying the same floor as a printed roll-up but showing whatever you load onto it. It works at the door of a hall, beside a registration desk, at a fair stand or in a shop window. It runs off a wall socket and one person operates it once we have handed over. For a Sisak address a single panel for one day is about 435 EUR net including the drive, and a second at another entrance takes the total to 510 EUR net. That is often the whole of what a works anniversary or a county fair actually requires.

720 kilometres of return driving

The transport line is 360 EUR net for a single-day booking, being the return distance at 50 cents net a kilometre. Panels are 75 EUR net apiece per day when the panel is the stocked indoor P2, and a job built on one of the other four versions carries a panel figure agreed in advance while everything below stays as written. As guide figures, net: one panel for a day 435 EUR, two 510 EUR, three 585 EUR, five 735 EUR. Over two days three panels come to 1,170 EUR and five to 1,470 EUR, because delivery and collection then become two separate runs. An operator kept at the screen is 63 EUR net per person daily, and where nobody can help with parking and unloading there is a one-off 88 EUR net addition to the order.

Which width, and which version, for which room

64 centimetre steps, height always 192

One panel shows 320 by 960 pixels. Two side by side give 128 centimetres of width. Three form a 192 by 192 square at 960 by 960 pixels. Four give a 256 centimetre 4:3 face for slides. Five reach 320 centimetres and 1600 by 960 pixels for widescreen video. A works canteen used for an anniversary evening is usually broad and shallow, and two panels either side of the stage do more than one wide backdrop. Training days want four for the slide shape. A county fair stand rarely needs more than one, since the audience is passing rather than seated. That fair stand also illustrates the other half of the choice. Inside the hall an indoor panel is right, its pitch set by how near people come. Out on the fairground, with nothing above the screen, the indoor housing is unsuitable and we bring a sealed outdoor cabinet instead — P2.5 for close range, P3 where the picture has to carry across an open field.

Loading content and running the day

Files, a stick, a phone or a laptop

Images go on as JPG or PNG and video as MP4, from a USB stick or through the controller app on a phone. Where the material is live, a laptop connects over HDMI and drives the screen directly, which covers a presentation or a camera feed. The handover takes about five minutes and never appears on the invoice, because at four hours away it is much more useful that somebody in your room can change a file. The phone stays open for the whole hire, and in practice that resolves nearly everything that comes up.
