The van is billed on the whole return route at half a euro net per kilometre, giving 472 EUR net for a one-day booking, and the screen costs 75 EUR net per panel per day at the indoor P2 list price. Where the event calls for another build, that line alone is replaced by an agreed figure. Guide amounts, net: a lone panel for a day 547 EUR; a pair 622 EUR; the square trio 697 EUR; the full five 847 EUR. Keep three panels for two days and the sum reaches 1,394 EUR, or 1,694 EUR for five, because a hire longer than a day means the van makes two separate returns. A technician at the screen is 63 EUR net per person daily.

Five and a half hours, weighed honestly
One panel for a single Požega evening is 547 EUR net, and 472 EUR of it is the drive into the valley. Osijek and Zagreb both have rental companies closer than we are, and on a small one-day job either will be cheaper. The cases that suit us are longer hires, where the two journeys spread across a festival week; larger sets, where the panel rate carries the weight; and events that a Požega company holds in Hungary, which for wine and food businesses working the export market is not unusual. There the drive on this page largely disappears.
Sizing the surface, and picking the build
Five widths, all 192 centimetres tall
One panel gives 64 by 192 centimetres at 320 by 960 pixels. Two make 128. Three form a 192 by 192 square with 960 by 960 pixels. Four give 256 centimetres in the 4:3 slide shape. Five reach 320 centimetres and 1600 by 960 pixels. A cellar tasting or a small hotel room takes one panel comfortably and would be overwhelmed by more. A cooperative meeting in a hall wants three or four depending on the content. Five make sense on the rare occasion when a finished film is the centre of the evening and the room has the depth to view it. Aurea and the harvest events, though, happen on the square rather than in a room, and there the question is the housing rather than the width. The indoor panels have none of the sealing that open ground demands; the outdoor cabinets, at P2.5 for close viewing and P3 for a bigger face across a crowd, have all of it. Both are hired, and both are priced for the individual event.

Festival weeks and Hungarian dates
Two patterns make the distance work. The first is duration: a festival running several days needs the same two journeys as a single evening, so the transport share falls with every extra day. Across a week the arithmetic looks entirely different from the single-day figures above. The second is direction. When a Slavonian producer exhibits at a Hungarian trade fair or holds a partner event across the border, the same panels arrive with a fraction of the driving. If your programme includes both, one hire period covering both dates is cheaper than two separate bookings.
