Below we set out how a permanently installed LED surface for a Domžale address is dimensioned, manufactured and commissioned. The panels are built at our works in Győr and the finished surface is assembled on your site. The road distance is 396 kilometres, and that single number is why the programme further down is written as two separate journeys instead of one. Where a mounted wall is simply the wrong instrument for the premises, we say so and describe the wheeled alternative in its place.

Domžale is not a destination town. It is a place people move through: into Ljubljana in the morning, back out of it in the evening, along a corridor that has carried that traffic for as long as anyone can remember. The commercial premises strung along Ljubljanska cesta are addressed to that movement rather than to a strolling visitor. A fixed LED surface here is therefore almost never bought to hold the attention of somebody who came to look at it. It is bought to reach a driver decelerating for a junction, a customer crossing a forecourt, and shift staff arriving at the Količevo works. That difference decides every figure in the specification below.
The module grid and the size you actually end up with
Multiples of 32 and 16 centimetres
A LED surface is not ordered by diagonal. It is assembled from landscape modules measuring 32 centimetres across and 16 centimetres in height, and the module is never turned on its end. The consequence is arithmetic: the finished width has to be a whole multiple of 32, the finished height a whole multiple of 16. An opening of roughly four metres by two therefore becomes 384 by 192 centimetres, or 416 by 208 if the reveal allows it, and nothing in between. Our surveyor writes down the two nearest buildable sizes on the day and lets you choose, rather than quoting a round number that cannot be built.

The nearest reader sets the pitch, not the furthest
Premises on the Ljubljanska cesta corridor almost always have two audiences at once. Somebody standing at the door is three or four metres away; somebody in the outside lane is thirty. Pixel pitch is chosen from the shorter of the two, because a surface that dissolves into dots at close range cannot be rescued by content. Close viewing means P1.5 to P2.5, intermediate positions P2.5 to P4, and genuinely distant placements P4 to P8. An interior sales floor near Češminov park will take the finest pitch comfortably; a panel angled at traffic can be coarser without anybody noticing.

IP65 and 4500 nits outside, 700 to 800 inside
The two constructions share a module family and almost nothing else. An exterior surface is built to IP65, runs at an operating brightness of 4500 to 5500 nits so that it survives midday glare on an unshaded frontage, and carries its own drainage and ventilation detail. An interior surface runs at 700 to 800 nits, because anything more is unpleasant in a room people stand in and wasteful of electricity. Deciding which one you need is a question about exposure, not about which wall the marketing department prefers, and it is settled on the survey with a note about rain and low winter sun.

640 by 1920 millimetres, 45 kilograms, no builder involved
A large share of the retail units along the Domžale corridor are rented, and a tenant is rarely free to drill into a frontage that belongs to the landlord. The LED poster answers that. It is a portrait digital panel on a wheeled foot: 640 by 1920 millimetres of image area, a frame 201 centimetres tall, 45 kilograms. It is rolled in, plugged into an ordinary socket and switched on. No scaffolding, no access platform, no fixing into the facade, no structural opinion. At 396 kilometres that matters more than it would at fifty: a mounted wall means a preparation day, an overnight stay and a two-day call-out, whereas a poster can be delivered and working in the same week it is ordered.
One poster now, a continuous picture later
Five panels, 320 by 192 centimetres, 225 kilograms
The posters are not isolated screens. Their controllers can be chained, so several units side by side behave as a single image surface rather than as a row of separate displays. The arrangement customers settle on most often is five panels: five times 64 centimetres gives 320 centimetres of width against 192 centimetres of height, which is close enough to sixteen by nine for ordinary video. That set weighs 225 kilograms and has a theoretical peak draw of 4 kilowatts. The practical point is that you need not commit to the final size on day one. Start with a single unit at the entrance and add to it when the budget allows. The same frame carries P1.5 GOB, P2 GOB, P2.5 indoor and P2.5 outdoor cabinet builds, at 700 to 800 nits indoors and 4500 to 5000 nits in the weatherproof version.
Signal, scheduling and the route the picture takes
HDMI for anything live, network or a stick for everything else
There are two ways in. An HDMI input takes a live source directly, which is what you want if a camera, a till system or a laptop has to appear on the surface in real time. Everything else is loaded as a timed playlist over the building network or from a USB stick. The controller is reachable over Wi-Fi, so no data cable has to be pulled to the display itself, and a shop with a single router in the back office can update the surface without any new cabling. Power still has to be run properly; only the signal is free to travel through the air.
