Two things distinguish signage work in Koper from anywhere else we operate. The first is language: the municipality is officially bilingual, Slovenian and Italian appear together on official signage, and businesses serving both communities and a large Italian cross-border trade routinely want their own signs to do the same. The second is the fabric of the old town, where the stone frontages around Titov trg, the Loggia and the streets running down towards the Da Ponte fountain will not tolerate careless fixing and where the visual weight of a lit panel is very obvious against pale stone.
